Disclosed is a display device wherein a light emitting element can have a longer service life, while suppressing luminance unevenness without causing an increase in cost or size. The display device comprises a light guide plate (), an LED () that is arranged on the side of at least one corner portion () of the light guide plate (), a frame () that has a lateral portion (), and a bezel () that has a lateral portion (). The LED () is attached to a part () of the lateral portion () of the frame (), and the part () is thermally connected to a part () of the lateral portion () of the bezel ().

Display device

A backlight device () includes: a case (); a plurality of LED modules () provided in series on a bottom portion () of the case (); a reflective sheet (); a diffusing plate (); and an optical sheet (). At the bottom portion () of the case (), four recessed portions () are formed in a horizontal direction of a display screen, and each of the LED modulesis fixed thereon with screws (). At opposite ends of the recessed portion (), opening portions () and () each having a lid member () are formed, thus making it possible to remove the LED modules () without disassembling the backlight device ().

A backlight device () for emitting illumination light outward includes white light-emitting diodes () for emitting white light, and red and blue light-emitting diodes () for emitting red light and blue light, respectively. Backlight unit and liquid crystal display device

An illumination device that can reduce variations in brightness is provided. This illumination device () includes a light source module () and a chassis () provided with an accommodation space (). A light guide plate placement portion () and a light source placement portion () are provided in the accommodation space (). The light source placement portion () has a placement surface (), the placement surface () is formed such that the placement surface () is raised with respect to the light source placement portion () and the light source module () is placed on the placement surface ().

Illumination device and liquid crystal display device including the same

A backlight device () that emits illumination light toward the exterior includes a white light-emitting diode () that emits white light, and a LED lighting circuit (lighting control section) () configured to be capable of controlling a lighting drive of the light-emitting diode () by using PWM dimming. Backlight device and display device using the same for adjusting color tone of illumination light

Disclosed is a backlight unit () comprising a light-emitting unit (UT) and a light guide plate () for receiving light from the light-emitting unit (UT). In this backlight unit (), a light-receiving surface (S) of the light guide plate () receiving light from an LED () is provided with a recess (DH) for housing an FFC () which connects mounted boards () arranged side by side.

In a direct backlight, a substrate on which LEDs are provided includes a plurality of module substrates. Each module substrate can be reduced in warping or deformation after a blanking process. In addition, each module substrate can be formed thin since bending due to its own weight is small. Consequently, the substrate as a whole and the backlight can be formed thin.

Illuminating device and liquid crystal display comprising same

A backlight device () includes: a light guide plate (); a chassis () on which the light guide plate () is mounted; a frame member () having the light guide plate () held between the chassis () and the frame member (); a spot light source () arranged near a side surface of the light guide plate (); a flexible printed circuit board () on which the spot light source () is mounted; and a heat dissipation plate () (part of the chassis ()) bonded through a double-faced adhesive () to the flexible printed circuit board (). The frame member () is provided with a protrusion portion () that is in contact with the flexible printed circuit board () and that presses the flexible printed circuit board () onto the heat dissipation plate (), and a tip portion of the protrusion portion () is so tapered as to be located apart from the flexible printed circuit board ().

Backlight device and flat display device using same

A backlight unit that realizes stabilization of lighting operation in the event of carrying out lighting operation at low luminance. The backlight unit is backlight unit () comprising a light source composed of multiple light emitting diode groups () each including a given number of serially connected light emitting diodes (); and lighting circuit () for lighting the light source in accordance with a light control signal. The lighting circuit has at least multiple drive circuit portions () respectively connected to the multiple light emitting diode groups, and in accordance with a light control signal, allows all the light emitting diodes included in each of the multiple light emitting diode groups to emit light, or allows only light emitting diodes included in light emitting diode group(s) selected from among the multiple light emitting diode groups to emit light.

Backlight unit

In a light emitting device, LEDs are arranged in a line on a film which is provided with a conductor. The conductor connects the LEDs to a connector. The film is bent at a division line between a region where the LEDs are arranged and a region where the conductor is formed, and disposed on the inner surface of a reflector. A reflective material is arranged on a surface of the conductor region which faces to the LEDs.
