When a vehicle accelerates due to an upshifting of a transmission, a recirculation valve is opened and ignition period is retarded so that the torque generated in an internal combustion engine decreases. When upshifting of the transmission of the vehicle is completed, retarding of the ignition period is ended and the recirculation valve is closed at different timings. As a result, the amount of torque recovery at the end of the upshifting of the transmission of the vehicle can be prevented from increasing more than expected, and the acceleration rate after the shift can be reduced.

An air conditioning device for vehicle includes a refrigeration cycle including a compressor for sucking, compressing and discharging a refrigerant, a condenser for condensing the high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant discharged from the compressor, an expansion valve for decompressing the refrigerant condensed in the condenser and an evaporator for evaporating the refrigerant through heat exchange between the refrigerant reduced in pressure by the expansion valve and surrounding air. A vehicle air conditioner control system has an air conditioning device has a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator, a compressor running rate control device, a deceleration fuel cutoff executing device, and a fuel supply recovery executing device that cancels cutoff of fuel supply and recovers fuel supply at a higher vehicle speed during vehicle deceleration fuel cutoff period with air-conditioner ON than during vehicle deceleration fuel cutoff period with air-conditioner OFF. The compressor running rate control device increases the compressor running rate for a predetermined period just before a fuel supply recovery time with air-condition ON during the deceleration fuel cutoff period more than during non-execution of the deceleration fuel cutoff, and subsequently decreases the compressor running rate at or just before the fuel supply recovery time with air-condition ON equal to or less than during non-practice of the deceleration fuel cutoff.

A vehicle air conditioner control system has an air conditioning device for performing a refrigerating cycle, having a compressor that intakes, compresses, and discharges a refrigerant, a condenser that condenses the refrigerant discharged from the compressor, an expansion valve that depressurizes the refrigerant condensed by the condenser, an evaporator that performs heat exchange between open air and the refrigerant to vaporize the refrigerant, a compressor ON/OFF control device that controls a running rate of the compressor by alternating between an ON state and an OFF state, a vehicle deceleration fuel cut-off executing device that performs cut-off fuel supply during vehicle deceleration, and a fuel supply recovery executing device that cancels fuel cut-off and recovers fuel supply during vehicle deceleration fuel cut-off period based on a demand to turn on the compressor.

Depression of an accelerator pedal by a vehicle operator in an operating condition in which fuel economy is deteriorated, is restrained. An actual opening degree of the accelerator pedal and a reference guide value of the accelerator pedal opening degree which allows a vehicle to accomplish both acceleration performance and fuel economy performance in a current operating condition are indicated in a display section together. In a case where a current gear ratio of a transmission is deviated from an optimal gear ratio of the transmission which is determined based on an operating condition of the vehicle, the reference guide value is changed such that engine output of the vehicle is decreased.

A controller selectively uses these engine output control systems depending on a power-train operating condition, such that a first one of the engine output control systems having a superior transient response is used for the engine output control for shift response control during shifting, and that a second one of the engine output control systems having a superior steady-state stability is used for the engine output control for excessive torque input prevention engine torque limiting action during non-shifting.
