A sealing member includes a sealing portion that is used for a cap attached to a reagent container and covers an opening of the cap with an open-close movement by flapping around a predetermined point. The sealing portion has, on an outer circumference in the predetermined point side, an extending portion that extends outward of the opening. The extending portion contacts with an upper edge of the opening when the sealing portion covers the opening.

Provided is an opening-and-closing mechanism that can be latched at a predetermined opening angle, wherein the latching can be disengaged with a small force in the opening direction whereas the latching is gradually disengaged in the closing direction. An opening-and-closing mechanism includes first and second supporting members disposed relatively rotatable around a rotary axis; a plurality of protruding portions provided on the first supporting member; and a plurality of depressed portions provided on the second supporting member and engaged with the plurality of protruding portions, wherein, when the first and second supporting members are in a plurality of predetermined relative alignments, some of the plurality of protruding portions and some of the plurality of depressed portions are engaged, and wherein forces required for disengaging the protruding portions and the depressed portions by rotating at least one of the first and second supporting members differ first and second rotation directions.

Opening-and-closing mechanism and latching mechanism

A sample container includes a cap that covers a container body holding a liquid sample containing a reagent and a test body. The cap includes an outer lid that covers the container body, an inner lid that is slidably attached to the outer lid and has an opening for dispensing the liquid sample, a shutter that has a shaft engaging with the inner lid, a translating unit that is fitted to the outer lid and translates sliding movements of the inner lid against the outer lid to rotation of the shutter around the shaft, and a pressing member that presses the shutter in a direction to close the shutter. The rotation of the shutter opens and closes a hole formed in the translating unit for dispensing the liquid sample.
