A method or device for computing material requirements which calculates various parts and materials necessary for products to be produced when a production plan is input, in order to reduce the processing time for a material requirements computation. In order to establish the object, the method or device of computing material requirements is provided, which can perform a parallel process without using conventional low level codes. Parts computing means are respectively assigned to items. When the lower parts computing means receives the computation result of the upper parts computing means, it independently executes the computing process if the computation result is sufficient for the parts computation. The process rate of the material requirements computation can be improved by performing the load distribution under a fixed rule, including that to which computer the data of an item is loaded or by which computer an item is processed, when the material requirements are computed in parallel process using plural computers.

Method and device for computing material requirements

A business monitoring system and method having a supervisory work station and a staff work station as well, having a judgment condition storage function having stored therein a condition described for selecting and extracting contents of a business process transaction, having a judgment function for extracting a transaction having contents to be processed on the basis of the condition, and having a transaction-to-mail converting function for converting the transaction to a mail form according to the judgment result before sending it as electronic mail. The system and method allow a supervisor to register his problem concerned in the judgment condition storage function in a computer language suitable for end users or delete or change the already registered problem. The transaction-to-mail converting function allows the electronic mail converted to mail form to be sent to and stored in a mail box for the supervisory work station. The supervisor can then receive a report related to business processes of concern to him in the mailbox at his convenience.

The computer aided planning support system of this invention is constructed of a planning information input device from which an object data for making a plan is inputted; an object data storage unit for storing the inputted object data; a planning unit for making a plan by reading the object data stored in the object data storage unit and processing the read-out data in accordance with a planning program; a planning data storage unit for storing the data associated with the plan made by the planning unit; a planning data processing unit for processing the planning data stored in the planning data storage unit in accordance with a predetermined scheduling function and sending the processed data to the planning unit; and a planning information output device for outputting the planning result generated by the planning unit in the form a user can use it.

Computer aided planning support system

An enterprise information system in which personal work stations, personal data bases which are held in the work stations, a processor only for use in a division, and intradivision data and interdivision data which are held in the processor are provided. An informal communication path directly connects the work stations in an enterprise among the divisions and an intradivision formal communication path mutually connects the work station in the division to the processor to hold the intradivision data base or the interdivision data base corresponding to the division or both of them. An interdivision formal communication path mutually connects the processors to hold the interdivision data bases. The intradivision data base can only be accessed by the intradivision formal communication path of the division.
