A biological signal detection system includes a pair of electrodes, adapted to be attached on a living body; a transmitter, adapted to be attached on the living body, and including an electric circuit operable to process the biological signal and to telemeter the processed signal; and a biological signal inputting apparatus. The system may also include a receiver-transmitter operable to receive the processed signal telemetered from the transmitter and to telemeter the processed signal to the biological signal inputting apparatus by way of a wide area network; and a storage for storing the processed signal telemetered from the transmitter as biological signal data and for inputting the biological signal data to the biological signal inputting apparatus. Also, the system may include a storage for storing the processed signal telemetered from the transmitter as biological signal data and for inputting the biological signal data to the biological signal inputting apparatus.

An electrode for detecting a biological signal and a loop antenna are integrally mounted on a support placed on the surface of a living body and a transmitter is placed on the support . A biological signal detected on the electrode is input through a connector to electric circuitry of the transmitter and an electric signal processed by the electric circuitry is output through connectors and to both ends of the loop antenna from which the biological signal is emitted to a receiver. At this time, the opening face of the loop antenna is in a direction almost perpendicular to the surface of a living body for improving sensitivity.

This value corresponds to the correct gas partial pressure change.

Gas sensor and gas sensor system

A sensor device a sensor unit which detects a biomedical signal, and a transmitter which converts the biomedical signal into a radio signal and then transmits the radio signal. The transmitter has an electrode detachment detection unit 12 which detects electrode detachment on the basis of an output of the sensor unit, and transmits an electrode detachment signal indicative of the detachment. In a receiver, the biomedical signal transmitted from the transmitter is received, the signal is attenuated by an attenuation unit, and the attenuated signal is supplied to a wired sensor input portion of another device through a switch and a connection unit. In the receiver, when the electrode detachment signal is detected from the signal transmitted from the transmitter, the switch is turned off.

A biological gas sensor for measuring a carbon dioxide partial pressure in an alimentary canal while excluding the influences of hydrogen sulfide and/or weak acid is disclosed. The gas sensor comprises a sensor which has in the sensitive part thereof a bicarbonate buffer solution held by a gas permeable membrane and detects a carbon dioxide partial pressure based on the hydrogen ion concentration of the bicarbonate buffer solution, a liquid holding part which is formed of a gas permeable tube having in the inside thereof the sensitive part of the sensor, an isotonic solution which is held in the liquid holding part and is isotonic with the bicarbonate buffer solution, and a metallic member (e.g., a coil of copper wire) so that hydrogen sulfide entering the liquid holding part may react with the metal and precipitate.

Biological gas sensor

A gas sensor 1 has a catheter 3 to which a gas sensor body 4 and a signal guide member 5 for guiding a detection signal of the gas sensor body 4 are attached. The other end of the signal guide member 5 is connected to a connector 6. The gas sensor 1 is airtightly received in the reception body in the state where a connection terminal of the connector 6 is exposed to the outside. The reception body 2 is filled with a mixed gas containing a gas to be measured by a predetermined concentration. At the time of calibration, the connection terminal of the connector 6 is connected to a measurement amplifier while the reception body 2 is not opened and calibration is performed, and at the time of measurement, the reception body 2 is opened and the gas sensor 1 is taken out to perform ordinary measurement.

Gas sensor package

A field effect transistor for use as an ion sensor has a P-type silicon substrate on which are formed a source region and a drain region. An N-type isolation diffusion layer is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the silicon substrate and this diffusion layer is surrounded by an insulation layer. According to this arrangement, even when the potential of the electrolyte has been raised to a level which is positive with respect to the silicon substrate, an electrical isolation is established by the reverse dielectric strength exhibited by the P-N junction.
