A control method of a combustion system for controlling combustion of fuel within a combustor, the combustion system including the combustor having a catalyst for promoting the combustion and a first heater arranged so as to be able to supply heat to the catalyst, including: supplying the fuel and oxidizing gas to the combustor along with providing the heat to the catalyst by the first heater; and deactivating the first heater at a prescribed timing and increasing a flow rate of the fuel greater than that have been set before deactivating the first heater, wherein the prescribed timing is determined as a timing at which a generated heat of the fuel prior to deactivation of the first heater becomes equal to or greater than a heat required for raising a temperature of the fuel having the flow rate after increased up to a light-off temperature of the catalyst.

Combustion system and combustion control method

Provided is a method of controlling a fuel cell system having a fuel cell stack, a reformer configured to reform a raw fuel and supply the reformed raw fuel to the fuel cell stack, a fuel flow rate control unit configured to control a flow rate of the raw fuel supplied to the reformer, an air supply pipe configured to supply oxygen to the raw fuel, and a combustor configured to mix a cathode discharged gas and an anode discharged gas discharged from the fuel cell stack and combust the mixed gas. The method of controlling the fuel cell system includes detecting at least one of a current value generated from the fuel cell stack and an oxygen supply amount supplied from the air supply pipe; estimating a composition of the anode discharged gas on the basis of at least one of the current value and the oxygen supply amount; and controlling a temperature of the combustor by adjusting the flow rate of the raw fuel using the fuel flow rate control unit on the basis of the estimated composition of the anode discharged gas.

Fuel cell system and method for controlling fuel cell system

A fuel cell system is provided and the fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell; a fuel processing unit configured to process a raw fuel to produce a fuel gas for the fuel cell; an oxidant gas heating unit configured to heat an oxidant gas for the fuel cell; a combustor configured to combust the raw fuel to produce a combustion gas for use in heating the fuel processing unit and the oxidant gas heating unit; a supply control unit configured to, during a warm-up of the fuel cell, control supply of the raw fuel to the fuel processing unit and the combustor; and a power generation control unit configured to control a power generation state during the warm-up of the fuel cell. When the fuel cell has reached a power generation available temperature, the power generation control unit is configured to cause the fuel cell to perform power generation, and the supply control unit is configured to supply the raw fuel to both the fuel processing unit and the combustor.

Starting burner for a fuel cell system

A fuel cell system includes: a fuel cell; a fuel treating unit configured to treat a raw fuel and generate fuel gas for the fuel cell; an oxidant-gas heater configured to heat oxidant gas for the fuel cell; a combustor configured to combust the raw fuel and generate combustion gas to heat the fuel treating unit and the oxidant-gas heater; and a control unit configured to control supplying of the raw fuel to the fuel treating unit and the combustor at the time of warming-up of the fuel cell. The control unit supplies the raw fuel to both of the fuel treating unit and the combustor when the fuel treating unit is at an operable temperature of the fuel treating unit.
