A camera apparatus () includes: a CCD () serving as an imaging device; a cleaning member () for performing cleaning of the front face of the CCD (); and a cleaning controller () for controlling the movement of the cleaning member (). Cleaning control is carried out so that when the cleaning of the CCD () is started, the cleaning member () is moved to a cleaning position located in front of and in proximity to the CCD (), and when the cleaning of the CCD () is finished, the cleaning member () is moved to a retracted position retracted from the cleaning position. The camera apparatus itself is provided with the function of cleaning the imaging device, thereby enabling reduction in time and effort for a cleaning operation performed on the imaging device.

Camera device, cleaning control method, and cleaning control program

A drive mechanism () of a camera apparatus includes a worm gear () to which a rotational driving force of a drive motor () is transmitted, a worm wheel () around which a helical gear () is formed to engage with the worm gear (), and a support frame () which supports the worm wheel () rotatably and movably along a rotation axis. A rotational driving force of the worm gear () is transmitted to the worm wheel () with reduced gear ratio. An externally threaded portion () of a shaft portion () of the worm wheel () is engaged with an internally threaded portion in a supporting hole () of the support frame (), so that the shaft portion () moves along the rotation axis when the worm wheel () rotates. Consequently, the rotational driving force transmitted to the worm wheel () is converted into a linear thrust force along the rotation axis. This makes it possible to provide a camera apparatus which can develop a larger thrust force and adjust an amount of travel more finely.

Camera device and drive mechanism

The wiring fixture has a base unit, which is to be mounted on a predetermined position, and a functional unit that is formed as a removable structure and is to be electrically connected to the base unit. The base unit has a connecting body having a connecting section for connecting a first line from a control section of an electric device. The connecting body is rotatably disposed to the base unit so that the connecting section not only faces in a mounting direction of the base unit but also faces in a direction different from the mounting direction of the base unit. The structure copes with a layout change and offers easy wiring between the base unit and lines led through the ceiling or a wall.

Herein disclosed is a surveillance camera apparatus, comprising: a housing assembly having a slanted plate portion with an inner surface; and a camera assembly accommodated in said housing assembly, said slanted plate portion forming part of said housing assembly defining an opening therein, said opening having a central axis thereof, said opening having an imaginary inner surface flush with said inner surface of said slanted plate portion forming part of said housing assembly, and said imaginary inner surface of said opening having the shape of a circle, said camera assembly, including: a stationary member; a pan shaft having a pan axis thereof, said pan shaft being supported by said stationary member to be revolvable around said pan axis; a retaining member integrally formed with said pan shaft; a tilt shaft having a tilt axis thereof, said tilt shaft being retained by said retaining member to be revolvable around said tilt axis under the state that said tilt axis of said tilt shaft is in perpendicular relationship with said pan axis of said pan shaft; an imaging unit for taking an image of a specific object through said opening of said slanted plate portion forming part of said housing assembly, said imaging unit having a light axis thereof, said imaging unit being integrally supported by said tilt shaft under the state that said light axis of said imaging unit is in perpendicular relationship with said tilt axis of said tilt shaft; a pan motor for having said pan shaft driven around said pan axis; and a controlling unit for controlling said pan motor to have said pan motor move said imaging unit around said pan axis of said pan shaft in response to the revolution of said tilt shaft to be driven around said tilt axis.

Surveillance camera apparatus

A camera is covered with a camera housing. The camera and the camera housing form a shooting window portion of a double structure having a clearance. A blowing tunnel communicated with the clearance of the shooting window portion is arranged on each of both sides of the shooting window portion. A blower sends a wind to the shooting window portion through the blowing tunnel. Further, a heater for heating the air sent to the shooting window portion is arranged in the blowing tunnel. Thus, dew condensation preventing ability can be improved by such a construction.

Camera device

A housing of a rotation type camera apparatus has a standing installation surface for standing installation and a wall-mounting installation surface for wall-mounting installation. The housing is also provided with a dome type cover composing a shooting window facing in a slanting direction with respect to a horizontal direction in a standing-mounting position and in a wall-mounting position. A camera is provided so as to be able to shoot outside from the shooting window. A camera rotation device is accommodated in the dome and has a pan rotation axis based on the horizontal direction. The shooting window faces in an appropriate direction in both the standing-mounting position and the wall-mounting position. Since the pan rotation axis is set based on the horizontal direction, a viewer's eyes do not run up and down so much during the pan rotation.

Rotation type camera apparatus

To provide a lens select device in which an iris image pickup function may be incorporated into a portable information terminal at low cost. In a lens support member, a small gearis formed at one end part of the lens support member, and a lens-housing boss partand a lens-housing boss partare juxtaposed at the other end part. By turning the small gear, the first lens or the second lens is aligned with a predetermined position. An operation partis provided. When the operation partengages with the small gearand turns the same, the operation partswitches the lens which is aligned with the predetermined position to the first lens or the second lens. Preferably, the operation partis an arcuate member which turns about a position, which is different from a rotational center of the small gear, and it is an inscribed gearhaving teeth formed in the inner peripheral surface, which are in mesh with the small gear

Lens select device and portable information terminal

A camera rotation device comprises motors provided on rotated sides rotating with a camera with respect to their rotating sides which rotate the camera. More specifically, regarding a pan direction, a pan motor is provided in a pan section which rotates with respect to a base section. With regard to a tilt direction, a tilt motor is provided in a tilt section which rotates with respect to the pan section. Torque of each motor is transferred to each rotating side so that the camera on the rotated side rotates with the motor by reaction force of the rotating side. This structure, in comparison with conventional devices where a motor and a rotation mechanism are provided separately, has a motor provided on the rotated side and therefore reduces space for mounting a motor. As a result, this configuration enables the camera rotation device to be made smaller.
