Disclosed are: a polyalkylene terephthalate resin composition comprising (A) a polyalkylene terephthalate resin and (B) an acrylic-based core-shell polymer which has an average particle size of 2 &#x3bc;m or greater and in which an amount of the core layer component is more than 80% by mass but less than 100% by mass relative to a total mass of the core layer component and a shell layer component; and a molded article which is obtained by molding the polyalkylene terephthalate resin composition.

Polycarbonate resin composition with superior fluidity and molding thereof

A halogen-free flame retardant polybutylene terephthalate resin composition contains 5 to 80 parts by weight of a phosphorus flame retardant (B) having a polyester structure in the main chain, 20 to 120 parts by weight of a nitrogen compound (C), 1 to 50 parts by weight of talc (D), and 0.1 to 2 parts by weight of an anti-dripping agent (E), based on 100 parts by weight of a polybutylene terephthalate resin (A) and exhibits a comparative tracking index of 400 V or higher in a tracking resistance test in accordance with IEC60112. The halogen-free flame retardant polybutylene terephthalate resin composition does not contain a halogen containing flame retardant, has high flame retardancy and high tracking resistance, and can be suitably used as members for electric/electronic parts.

Flame-retardant polybutylene terephthalate resin composition

The aim is to provide a flame retardant for thermoplastic resins that has a high flame-retardant imparting effect, and that produces a thermoplastic resin composition with superior moldability and workability that does not easily bleed out and a molded body with superior resistance to heat-moisture and chemicals; and a flame retardant for thermoplastic resins that has a high flame-retardant imparting effect, and that produces a flame retardant with a heat resistance to working temperatures of 300&#xb0; C. or higher and a molded body with superior resistance to reflow heat and chemicals. Disclosed is a flame retardant, which is a specific flame retardant for thermoplastic resins comprising the reaction product of a nitrogen-containing compound and a phosphorous-containing compound, that is insoluble in toluene and comprises in the range of 5 to 10 wt % of phosphorus atoms. The aforementioned flame retardant may have a weight average molecular weight (Mw) in the range of 2,000 to 10,000, or may have a ratio of at least 1 wt % of crosslinking components within the flame retardant components.
