A water blocking structure of a wire harness and a method for manufacturing the wire harness is provided. The water blocking structure includes a set of wires including a plurality of wires arranged in at least one row and side by side in a direction of a diameter of the wire, and an integrally molded stopper made of a hard resin that is injection-molded at a low-pressure so as to surround a portion of the set of wires in an extending direction of the wires and to have an outer circumferential shape defining portion that conforms to an inner circumferential shape of a wire passage portion into which the set of wires is to be inserted.

Method for manufacturing wire harness

A waterproof structure of a wire harness includes at least one bundle of an electric wire group in which a plurality of electric wires are linearly arranged, a damming part made of a hard resin material, the damming part which surrounds a part of the electric wire group in an extension direction of the electric wire group and which includes an outer periphery shape part according to a shape of a trapezoidal through hole in an electric wire group insertion part with a divided structure, and a water stop material which prevents water from entering a gap between the electric wire group insertion part and the outer periphery shape part and which is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the through hole.

Waterproof structure of wire harness

A fusible link mounting structure, comprising a three-series fusible link formed by providing three pieces of fuse elements in series within a single common housing, a cavity having a mounting space formed according to a size of the common housing for the three-series fusible link, a plurality of tabs projected from a bottom of the cavity into the mounting space, and a monopole fusible link formed by providing a piece of fuse element in a single monopole housing, wherein a total length of the mounting space is set to be shorter than a sum of lengths of three-pieces of the monopole housings, and the tabs are arranged corresponding to positions of fuse terminals provided in the three-series fusible link, and also arranged at such positions that a plurality of the terminals do not interfere with the monopole housing, when the monopole fusible link is mounted in the cavity.

Fusible link mounting structure and electrical junction box

Electric connection box

An electric junction box includes a main case having a component connector, an under case having a harness connector, and a longitudinal busbar, which are mounted by making a board surface of the insulated substrate and the longitudinal busbar cross at right angles, and in which the longitudinal busbar is extended to the connector through junction terminals accommodated in the terminal-accommodating cavity. An under case, which is divided into a plurality of sub-cases corresponding to sub-wiring harnesses, is provided with an insulated supporting board for supporting a plurality of junction terminals and a longitudinal busbar. The described arrangement enables each of the separated insulated supporting boards to be fixedly installed in the main case by means of known ways, such as welding, or the like.

Simplified connecting-type electric junction box with wiring harness

An electrical connection element is of an integral construction formed by blanking and bending (i.e., metal sheet working) a single metal base plate. More specifically, the electrical connection element includes a clamping portion formed at one longitudinal end for compressively clamping an end portion of a connection wire, a resilient connecting portion formed at the other end portion by folding the metal base plate twice, an outer wall portion surrounding the resilient connecting portion, and a pair of flexure prevention pieces which are formed on the metal base plate, and are provided respectively at opposite side walls 14a and 14b of the outer wall portion. A distal end of each of the flexure prevention pieces is slanting at an angle corresponding to the angle of inclination of the resilient connecting portion deformed to a predetermined degree. For connecting a male terminal, it is inserted in a predetermined direction, so that the resilient connecting portion is resiliently deformed to be brought into face-to-face contact with the slanting distal ends of the flexure prevention pieces. Therefore, even if an excessive external force is applied, the resilient connecting portion will not be plastically deformed by the corners of the distal ends of the flexure prevention pieces.

Electrical connection element

A connector comprise a pair of connector housings including one connector housing including a flexible arm having an engaging projection and the other connector housing including an engaging portion corresponding to the engaging projection; lock release prevention device for locking the connector housings to each other by moving the lock release prevention device from a temporary engaging position to a completely engaging position; and an accommodating device, formed on the other connector housing, for accommodating the lock release prevention device.

Connector

A busbar interconnecting structure consists of a tab formed integral with one busbar and a slot formed in another busbar. The two busbars are firmly connected by pressing the tab into the slot. The slot has the inner surfaces of its shorter sides formed in an arc so that even when the tab is inserted misaligned into the slot, a four-point contact is obtained at all times between the tab and the slot. The slot is also provided at the shorter sides with risers whose inner surfaces are also formed in an arc shape to increase the contact area between the tab and the slot, thus assuring a more stable electrical contact. The tab, when viewed in cross section, may be rounded at the shorter sides to match the curvature of the internal arc surfaces of the slot, thereby providing a still more stable surface contact.

Busbar interconnecting structure

A bus bar interlayer connector structure for use in a junction box comprises a bus in one layer having a tab formed with a longitudinal slit and bent at the central part of the slit at right angles to the bus bar body, and another bus bar in another layer having an elongated hole formed therein and adapted to be pierced with the tab for fixedly securing the latter. The above-mentioned slit extends past the bent base portion of the tab to a pattern portion of the bus bar in another layer. Thus, the bus bar interlayer connection can be ensured, and also the size of the junction box using this connector structure, which requires less space for installation, can be reduced correspondingly.
