A tire air pressure detecting device includes an air pressure detecting unit, a transmitting unit, a running state detecting unit, an air pressure change rate detecting section and a frequency adjustment section. The frequency adjustment section is configured to adjust a transmitting frequency at which the detected value of the tire air pressure detected by the air pressure detecting unit is externally transmitted by the transmitting unit according to the running state detected by the running state detecting unit and the air pressure change rate detected by the air pressure change rate detecting section. The frequency adjustment section is further configured to variably set a threshold value for switching the transmitting frequency from low frequency to high frequency according to the running state and the air pressure change rate.

Tire air pressure detecting device, tire air pressure monitoring system, and tire air pressure notification method

A tire pressure monitoring apparatus includes transmitter units provided, respectively, for sensing tire pressures of a vehicle, and receiver units for receiving wireless signals from the transmitter units. A tire pressure monitoring controller registers tire identification code transmitted from each transmitter unit, by measuring signal strengths of wireless signals, and comparing the signal strengths.

Tire pressure monitoring apparatus and process

A tire pressure monitoring system includes a tire pressure detecting device attached to each of tires of a vehicle and detecting a tire pressure, a transmitting device that transmits radio signals indicative of a detected tire pressure of each tire and each corresponding ID code provided to each tire separately, a receiving device attached to a vehicle body side and receiving the radio signals from the transmitting device, and a controller that controls a tire deflation warning. The controller includes an ID code registration section that registers the ID code of each tire by updating data stored in a memory, and a jack-up determination section that determines whether the vehicle has been jacked up. The ID code registration section performs registration of the ID code of each tire when the jack-up determination section determines that the vehicle has been jacked up. A tire pressure monitoring method is also provided.

Tire pressure monitoring system and method

A tire air pressure monitoring device is inexpensively constructed, and avoids misregistering ID codes from other vehicles by using a receiver that determines the ID code registration method based on the speed of the vehicle, and a function code setting process that sets the function code of the data intended for ID code registration based on the results of the ID code registration method determining process. The receiver identifies data intended for ID code registration by the function code, and then registers the ID code. Further, the receiver has an ID code permutation comparison process that permutes the ID codes received from a plurality of transmitters to form ID code permutation blocks. The receiver compares the ID code permutations of consecutive ID code permutation blocks, and registers the ID codes when the ID code permutations are the same in two consecutive ID code permutation blocks.
