In a fastening structure, a third guide member located on the medial side and a third guide member located on the lateral side overlap each other in a foot length direction of footwear as viewed in the foot length direction. A tightening member is guided such that intermediate portions of the tightening member, which are located on the medial and lateral sides, extend in a direction including a component of the foot length direction without crossing each other in a foot width direction of the footwear.

Fastening structure for footwear and shoe using the same

A shoe () of the present invention includes a sole () and an upper (). The upper () is composed of a fabric having a knit structure, and contains fiber reinforcement portions (, and) in predetermined portions of the upper () integrally. The fiber reinforcement portions (, and) are formed of a float stitch with a plurality of float stitch yarns (). The shoe of the present invention imparts a proper fit to a wearer's foot by forming the upper composed of the fabric having the knit structure that stretches properly. Also, in the case where the direction of foot force is suddenly changed while the sole contacts the ground, the shoe can hold the foot in desired predetermined positions by the fiber reinforcement portions situated in predetermined positions of the upper integrally. Thus, the present invention provides a shoe having proper holding properties while maintaining fitting properties.

An upper structure for a shoe includes an upper body and an outside upper member that overlaps the lateral side of the upper body to cover the foot's talus and that has a bottom edge portion fixedly attached to a bottom surface of the upper body. A rear end portion of the bottom edge portion is located rearwardly of the calcaneus load centerline. A rear edge portion of the outside upper member is separate from the upper body rearwardly of the talus. An instep edge portion of the outside upper member is connected to the shoelace. The upper structure includes a region that is expandable and contractible in a longitudinal direction. A top end of the region extends to the opening of the upper body, and a bottom end of the region is disposed in front of the calcaneus load centerline and below 55% of the foot's lateral ankle height.

An upper structure for a shoe improves a fit of the heel portion during heel contact with the ground to the push off motion of a foot. The upper structure includes an upper body, and an outside upper memberthat overlaps the lateral side of the upper bodyto cover the talus T of the foot, and that has a bottom edge portionfixedly attached to the bottom surface of the upper body. The rear end portion A of the bottom edge portionis located rearwardly of the load centerline C of the calcaneus. A rear edge portionof the outside upper memberis provided separately from the upper bodyrearwardly of the talus T of the foot. An instep edge portionof the outside upper memberis connected to the shoelace. On the lateral side of the heel portion of the upper body, there is a regionthat is expandable and contractible in the longitudinal direction. The top end of the regionextends to the opening of the upper bodyand the bottom end B of the regionis disposed in front of the load centerline C of the calcaneus and below a height h that corresponds to 55% of the lateral ankle height H of the foot.

A shoe including an upper material using a double raschel warp knitted fabric is provided. The upper material includes a first surface having a non-mesh structure and a second surface having a non-mesh structure part (A) and mesh structure parts (B, C). The burst strengths burst strengths A, B and C of the parts (A, B and C) satisfy the relationship: A&#x3e;B&#x3e;C. The non-mesh structure part (A) is disposed in a part surrounding the tiptoe, a part connecting to a shoe sole and disposed in both sides of the foot for example, in a stripe. The mesh structure part (B) is disposed in the vicinity of the surface of the toe and the mesh structure part (C) is disposed in the both sides of the foot for example, in a stripe. Thus, a shoe having lightweight, air permeability and durability and a double raschel knitted fabric used for the shoe are provided.

Light weight shoes

An athletic shoe includes a sole, an upper, a plurality of band-shaped members, and a fastening member. The upper has a toe portion, a heel portion, a forefoot portion and a lower periphery. The upper is secured to the sole and has a plurality of elongated through holes at regions except the toe portion and the heel portion. The band-shaped members are secured to the sole or the lower periphery of the upper and extend upwardly toward an instep of a foot of a shoe wearer. The fastening member is connected to each upper end of the band-shaped members.
