An ink jet-recording sheet for forming recorded images using liquid ink comprises a combination of specific compounds, for instance, 1,2-bis(2-hydroxyethylthio)ethane and a homopolymers or copolymer of diallylamine type compounds such as poly(diallylamine)hydrochloride, poly(diallylamine)sulfate, poly(diallylamine) phosphate or poly(diallylamine)acetate. The ink jet-recording sheet can ensure a high density of printed images, can provide images having high quality, shows only a slight color change and discoloration of printed images even when exposed to ozone gas and is excellent in the long-term shelf life.

Sheet for ink jet-recording

An ink jet recording material having excellent smoothness and gloss and capable of recording thereon ink images having high color density clarity, water resistance and sharpness comparative to the silver salt photographic images has a recording stratum formed on a substrate and comprising a single ink receiving layer or a plurality of ink receiving layers superposed on each other and containing a pigment and a binder, at least one ink receiving layer containing fine particles of at least one pigment selected from silica, aluminosilicate, and &agr;-, &thgr;-, &dgr;- and &ggr;-aluminas and having an average particle size of 1 &mgr;m or less and optionally a light resistance-enhancing agent for images including at least one of phenolic compounds, boric acid, borate salts and cyclodextrin compounds.

Ink jet recording material

An ink jet-recording sheet for forming recorded images using liquid ink comprises a combination of specific compounds, for instance, 1,2-bis (2-hydroxyethylthio) ethane and a homopolymers or copolymer of diallylamine type compounds such as poly (diallylamine) hydrochloride, poly (diallylamine) sulfate, poly (diallylamine) phosphate or poly (diallylamine) acetate. The ink jet-recording sheet can ensure a high density of printed images, can provide images having high quality, shows only a slight color change and discoloration of printed images even when exposed to ozone gas and is excellent in the long-term shelf life.

A sheet set for temperature control comprises: a recording sheet that is provided on one surface of a substrate and has a recording layer incorporating a zinc salt of a salicylic acid derivative as a color acceptor, or a leuco dye; and an adhesive sheet that is provided on one surface of another substrate and has a first adhesive layer incorporating an adhesive, an ester derivative of the formula (1) or (2), and a leuco dye, or a zinc salt of a salicylic acid derivative as a color acceptor.

Sheet set for temperature control and method of using thereof

The present invention provides a heat sensitive recording material comprising a heat sensitive recording layer formed on a substrate and containing an electron-donating compound and an electron-accepting compound, and a protective layer formed on the recording layer when required, the recording material being characterized in that at least one benzotriazole compound represented by the formula (1) is incorporated into at least one of the heat sensitive recording layer and the protective layer ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is C.sub.1.about.4 alkyl, Ar is 1,3-phenylene or 1,4-phenylene.

Heat sensitive recording material

The present invention provides sheet sets for temperature control comprising a heat sensitive recording sheet having a heat sensitive recording layer incorporating a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a color acceptor, provided on a surface of a substrate, and an adhesive sheet having a first adhesive layer incorporating a decolorizing agent, provided on a surface of another substrate, and wherein, when using the sheet sets, the first adhesive layer of the adhesive sheet is laminated on the heat sensitive recording layer of the heat sensitive recording sheet.

Sheet set for temperature control and method of using the same

The present invention provides a heat sensitive recording material comprising a substrate and a recording layer thereon incorporating a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a color acceptor, the recording material being characterized in that, the basic dye comprises an indolyldiazaphthalide derivative of the formula (1), and the color acceptor comprises a diphenyl sulfone derivative of the formula (2) and/or a benzanilide derivative of the formula (3) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 to R.sub.8 are defined in the specification.

The present invention provides a heat sensitive recording material comprising a substrate and a recording layer thereon incorporating a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a color acceptor, the recording material being characterized in that, the basic dye comprises at least one black-forming fluoran derivative and at least one phenothiazine derivative such as 3,7-bis(dimethylaminophenyl)-10-benzoylphenothiazine in an amount of 5 to 100 wt. % based on the fluoran derivative, and the color acceptor comprises a diphenyl sulfone derivative such as 3,3'-diallyl-4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone.

The present invention provides a thermofixable photosensitive recording material comprising a substrate and a recording layer formed thereon in which a pyrazolone derivative represented by the formula (1 ) shown in the specification and functions as a color former, and a hydroquinone derivative and an acidic substance which function as a color forming auxiliary agent or fixing auxiliary agent are dissolved mutually therein. Further, a binder can be added as required to the recording layer, thereby four components are dissolved mutually therein.

A pressure sensitive recording material utilizing a color forming reaction between a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a color acceptor, and in which (1) a basic dye-containing layer and color acceptor-containing layer are formed on one surface of different substrates respectively, (2) a basic dye-containing layer and color acceptor-containing layer are formed on one surface and the other surface of a same substrate respectively, (3) a basic dye-containing layer and color acceptor-containing layer are superposed on one surface of a substrate or (4) a layer containing both basic dye and color acceptor is formed on one surface of a substrate, the pressure sensitive recording material being characterized in that the basic dye is at least one diarylmethane compound represented by the formula (1) given below, the basic dye being enclosed in synthetic high polymer microcapsules having a mean particle size of 3 to 15 .mu.m and an average film thickness of 0.1 to 0.7 .mu.m, the color acceptor being an activated clay mineral containing 65 to 80 wt. % of silicon oxide (SiO.sub.2) ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 to R.sub.6 and A are as defined in the specification.

Pressure sensitive recording materials

The heat-sensitive recording material has on a base sheet a heat-sensitive recording layer which comprises a colorless or pale colored basic chromogenic material and a color developer. The recording layer comprises at least one fluoran derivative developing a black color and at least one azaphthalide derivative represented by the formula (I) as the basic chromogenic material, and at least one diphenylsulfone derivative represented by the formula (II) as the color developer. The azaphthalide derivative is used in an amount of 3 to 50 % by weight based on the amount of the fluoran derivative. ##STR1##

Heat-sensitive recording material

The present invention provides a recording material utilizing a reaction between a colorless or light-colored dye precursor and a color developer capable of forming a color upon coming into contact with the dye precursor, the recording material being characterized in that the material comprises at least one compound serving as the dye precursor and represented by the formula (1), and an acidic substance serving as the color developer ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 to R.sub.6, p and q are defined in the specification. At least one selected from the group consisting of phenolic compounds of the formulae (10), (11) and (12) and phenolic resin having a partial structure of the formula (13) can be used, as required, to further improve the color forming properties and change the color of recorded images from reddish purple or purple to blue or dark blue.

The present invention provides a heat sensitive recording material comprising a heat sensitive recording layer formed on a substrate and containing a color former and a color developer reactive with the color former, an intermediate layer formed on the recording layer and containing a water-soluble resin or water-dispersible resin, and an overcoat layer formed on the intermediate layer and containing a resin curable with an ionizing radiation, the heat sensitive recording material being characterized in that the color developer comprises at least one of a salicylic acid derivative represented by the following formula (1) or formula (2) and polyvalent metal salt of the derivative ##STR1## wherein Ar, Q, A, R, X, Y, m and n are defined in the specification.

A heat sensitive recording material having a recording layer formed on a substrate and containing a colorless or light-colored basic dye and a color acceptor, the heat sensitive recording material being characterized in that at least one ethyleneimine derivative of the following formula (1) is contained in the recording layer as a preservability improving agent for record images ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is direct bond, --O--, --S--, --SO.sub.2 -- or C.sub.1 .about.C.sub.6 alkylene, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each C.sub.1 .about.C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 .about.C.sub.4 alkoxyl or halogen atom, m and n are each zero or an integer of 1 to 4.
