It is intended to provide a centrifugal blower capable of suppressing the generation of noise including periodic noise that is caused by interference between a tongue and an impeller. The centrifugal blower is provided with an impeller () provided with plural blades around a rotating shaft; a casing () which houses the impeller () and has a suction portion at one end in an axial line direction of the rotating shaft; a spiral flow passage () formed around the impeller () in the casing (); and a tongue () for suppressing inflow of air from a winding end to a winding origin of the spiral flow passage (). The centrifugal blower is characterized in that an extension () is provided at a tip of the tongue () in a reverse rotational direction that is reverse to a rotational direction of the impeller () in such a manner that it projects in the reverse rotational direction by a length that varies depending on the position in the axial line direction and that the gap between itself and the impeller () in the radial direction of the impeller () is kept approximately constant.

Centrifugal blower

A damper is provided to suppress the abnormal noise or air noise at the small opening of the damper. The damper includes a wall surface which forms an air flow passage, a stationary portion which extends from the wall surface to the center of a flow passage, and a rotating portion rotatably disposed in the flow passage, having one end in contact with a portion of the stationary portion at a downstream side of an air flow through the flow passage. A curved wall portion as a convex curved surface protruding to the center of the flow passage is formed on a position of the wall surface on which the air flow passing between the one end and the stationary portion impinges.

Shroud and rotary vane wheel of propeller fan and propeller fan

A centrifugal blower has: an impeller; and a casing that houses the impeller. The impeller has: a bottom plate; blades provided on a same circumference of the bottom plate; and a shroud that has the blades interposed between it and the bottom plate, disposed concentric with the bottom plate, and connects end sections of the respective blades. The shroud has: an inclined section that comes closer to the bottom plate moving from a radial direction inside to a radial direction outside; and a shroud side barrier that rises from a position on the radial direction outside of the inclined section towards a side opposite to the bottom plate. The casing has a bell-mouth that opens from a radial direction inside of the shroud to a radial direction outside, and a casing side barrier that projects to an area between the inner periphery of the shroud and the shroud side barrier.

A centrifugal fan includes a space in which the dimension between a shroud-facing wall and a shroud, from the outer peripheral side to the inner peripheral side of the shroud, is substantially uniform, wherein the shroud-facing wall includes a recess extending in the circumferential direction, the recess being disposed at the inner peripheral side of the outer peripheral end of the shroud-facing wall forming the space having the uniform dimension so that the recess forms a space larger than the other part.

Centrifugal fan

There is provided a propeller fan in which a clearance between a rotary vane wheel and a shroud is constant three-dimensionally to improve air blowing efficiency and suppress noise. Furthermore, there is provided a propeller fan in which a span length of the rotary vane wheel with respect to the shroud is varied between a front edge portion and a rear edge portion to improve air blowing efficiency and suppress noise. Still further, there is provided a propeller fan characterized in that chamfering is applied only to a negative pressure face of a circumferential outer edge portion of a vane.

Air-conditioning apparatus

A vehicle air-conditioning system has an evaporator for receiving air discharged into a casing of the system and changing the air to a cold air flow that can flow rearward, and a heater for selectively receiving at least a portion of the cold air flow and heating such portion to a warm air flow. The system includes partition means for directing the warm air flow to permit mixing of the warm air flow and the remaining cold air flow that bypasses the heater. The partition means includes a top end portion and guide means for downwardly directing the cold, warm, or the mixed cold and warm air which has flowed beyond the top end portion for blowing-out such air out of the system. The top end portion defines a surface having a streamlined or curved configuration along which the cold, warm, or mixed cold and warm air can flow.

Vehicle air-conditioning system

A vehicle air-conditioning duct has an oblong cross-sectional configuration. The air-conditioning duct has a top wall , a bottom wall and side walls enclosing an interior space and at least one constriction formed by a projection protruding from at least one of the top wall and the bottom wall into the air-conditioning duct so as to connect the top wall with the bottom wall . The constriction continuously extends in an air flow direction so that cross-sectional areas of the constriction are constant in the air flow direction.

Air-conditioning duct for vehicle

An air conditioner for a vehicle comprises an air conditioner housing and an air intake formed in the air conditioner housing. An evaporator is disposed downstream of the air intake and an heater core is disposed downstream of the evaporator. Vent and foot outlets are formed in the housing downstream of the evaporator. The air conditioner further includes a first passage defined between the evaporator and the heater core and a guide plate disposed downstream of the heater core for directing hot air heated by passing through the heater core toward cool air not passing through the heater core. The air conditioner further includes means for conducting part of the hot air from the heater core guided by the guide plate to the vent outlet and/or for conducting part of the cool air not passing through the heater core to the foot outlet, and a first distributing mechanism for opening and closing the vent outlet and for selectively directing mixed air composed of the cool air from the evaporator and the hot air from the heater core guided by the guide plate toward the vent outlet and/or the foot outlet.

Air conditioner for vehicle

An air conditioning system for a vehicle is disclosed. The air conditioning system includes a casing, an evaporator, a heater core at a rear side of the evaporator, and a mixing area for mixing a first air bypassing the heater core with a second air flowing through the heater core. The system further includes a partition plate for guiding the second air to the mixing area after the second air flows through the heater core, a foot passage, a defrosting passage, a vent outlet, and a defrosting outlet. The system still further includes a temperature controlling damper for controlling rates of the first air and the second air after the first and second airs flows through the evaporator so as to attain a predetermined final temperature of the air which is discharged into a passenger compartment of the vehicle. The system further includes a vent damper, a foot damper and a defrosting damper.
