An information apparatus connectable with plural external apparatuses including an audio visual data outputting portion, a command input portion which inputs a command from an external apparatus for requesting audio visual data, an information managing portion which manages a number of external apparatuses to audio visual data can be distributed to be simultaneously viewed or recorded and a controller portion which controls distribution of the data to the external apparatus which sent the command depending upon a distributing condition. The controller portion makes a decision on whether the number of external apparatuses to which data can be distributed is equal to or smaller than a limited number, and controls the distribution of data to the external apparatus based on a result of the decision.

Receiver set, information apparatus and receiving system

A remote operating system capable of operating a given home electric appliance by simple operation from a portable telephone is disclosed. A service equipment connected to an internet and a public network provides a home page using the function of a portable telephone to browse the internet home pages. An instruction to operate the home electric appliance is given by way of the home page using the portable telephone. Thus, an operating instruction is given through the public network to a remote operation adaptor installed in a home to control the home electric appliance.

Remote operating system

An information processing apparatus, such as might be associated with an in-home audio or video control device or a home appliance operated by a user, is provided with input allowing the user to set accuracy of a log of device operation history and/or to set a ratio of disclosure of the log information. A log accumulation control device efficiently collects the log information and offers users diversified levels of accuracy for the log information. In a further configuration, user-designated information acquired form user operation of the device identifies frequency of viewing and listening to each program, and reproduction of contents is controlled as a function of the user-designated information, e.g. to select among common contents and contents of different classification types.

For providing a receiving contract service being convenient or friendly to both the broadcast service providers and the viewers, and in particular, for providing a digital broadcast receiver set, an information apparatus and a digital broadcasting receiving system, there is provided a system in which a digital broadcast receiver set, an output apparatusand recording apparatusesandare connected with a control bus, wherein there are provided a designated program devising portionfor extracting a plurality of programs at the same time, a receiving contract managing portionfor managing information relating to receiving contacts, and a output destination supervising portionfor managing distributing destination of the broadcast programs at the present, thereby distributing the broadcast programs to the output apparatusand/or the recording apparatusesand, on a basis of the contents of the receiving contracts.

A facsimile system with the body thereof usable as a subunit of a cordless telephone is disclosed. A parent unit is connected to the telephone line. A facsimile subunit is connected by radio to the parent unit. A telephone subunit is also connected by radio to the parent unit. A circuit included in the parent unit detects a signal indicating that the other party is in facsimile transmission mode. When a call signal is detected from the telephone line, the parent unit connects the line. When a CNG signal is detected, on the other hand, the parent unit connects the facsimile subunit by radio. In the case where a CNG signal is not detected, the parent unit starts the ring-up tone on the telephone subunit. An AGC circuit and a voice mute circuit are included in the parent unit.

Cordless subunit facsimile system

A facsimile apparatus which utilizes a dialing signal of a tone signal and can be used as a called-side communication apparatus to print desired character string information through a simple operation of a calling-side telephone set, and also a facsimile communication method in the facsimile apparatus. In the called-side facsimile apparatus, a character string information memory stores therein a plurality of character string information and unique numbers associated therewith; whereas a character information memory stores therein image information corresponding to the respective character string information. When a user of the calling-side communication apparatus enters a number corresponding to desired character string information, this causes a dialing signal indicative of the number to be transmitted to the facsimile apparatus. In the facsimile apparatus, a control unit converts to image information the character string information corresponding to the number indicated by the dialing signal detected by a dialing signal detector, and the converted image information is printed by a printer.
