Provided is a herbicidal composition comprising a herbicidally active compound selected from a difluoromethanesulfonylanilide compound represented by the general formula (I): wherein Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an alkoxyalkyl group; or a salt thereof encapsulated in a microcapsule, or a herbicidal composition comprising the herbicidally active compound encapsulated in a microcapsule and a benzoic acid compound represented by the general formula (II): wherein Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 15 carbon atoms, a hydroxyl group, a nitro group, or an amino group; and Rrepresents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom or an alkyl group. The herbicidal composition exert a pharmacological effect for a prolonged period of time, can alleviate or prevent any harmful effect and can reduce the environmental load.

Herbicidal composition

It is intended to provide a phytotoxicity controlling agent usable as a herbicide for upland farming, which exerts a sufficient herbicidal effect on weeds growing together with upland crops, for example, wheat, rye, barley, oat, corn, sorghum, cotton, soybean, adzuki bean, oilseed rape, beet, upland rice and so on but causes no phytotoxic phenomenon (for example, growth inhibition, growth suppression, tiller inhibition or yellowing) in cultivated plants, comprising a nuclear-substituted benzoic acid represented by the following general formula: wherein Rrepresents linear or branched Calkyl; a salt thereof or an alkyl ester thereof.

Phytotoxicity controlling agent for upland farming and phytotoxicity controlling method using the same

An agricultural chemical composition which enables a wide range of herbicidal compounds including ones showing phytotoxicity to crop plants, etc. upon mere application to exhibit a sufficient herbicidal effect and to show reduced or no phytotoxicity to the crop plants. The agricultural chemical composition comprises (A) a herbicidal compound selected from the group consisting of sulfonylurea compounds, sulfonamide compounds, chloroacetanilide compounds, thiocarbamate compounds, pyrimidinyloxy(thio)benzoic acid compounds, tetrazolinone compounds, pyrazole compounds, cyclohexanedione compounds, phenoxycarboxylic acid compounds, oxazinone compounds, and difluoromethanesulfonylanilide compounds or salts thereof and (B) a compound selected among benzoic acid compounds.

Agricultural chemical composition

The invention aims at providing a granular pesticide preparation which can be prepared by a simple and easy process and attain optimum controlled-release of pesticidal active ingredients and which is reduced in environmental load and in sufferings induced by pesticidal active ingredients and exerts stable drug effects. The invention relates to a granular pesticide preparation which consists of both non-disintegrating pesticide granules comprising an acid pesticidal active ingredient, a cationic surfactant, and a basic substance and causing no disintegration in water within 30 minutes and a pesticidal active ingredient and which has a particle size of 0.3 to 3 mm in diameter or of 0.6 to 3 mm in breadth and 2 to 10 mm in length and the property of falling into water after the application on water surface and disintegrating in water within 30 minutes.

Granular pesticide preparation

Provided is a granular agrochemical composition by which the problems accompanying the prior art granular agrochemical compositions can be overcome, which can be prepared in a simple formulation and by which sustained releasability of the agrochemically active ingredient is obtained so that the load on the environments can be decreased and the chemical damages caused by the agrochemically active ingredient can be alleviated or prevented. The granular agrochemical composition contains an acidic agrochemically active ingredient, a cationic surfactant and a basic substance. Inter alia, a pH of 5 or higher is obtained in a 1% by mass aqueous suspension thereof. Preferably, the acidic agrochemically active ingredient should have a pKa of 2 to 7 and the cationic surfactant should be one which is gelled or exhibits swellability in water.
