A display unit includes sub-pixels that each have a light emitting element, a capacitor, a first transistor that writes a video signal potential to the capacitor, and a second transistor that provides a drive current to the light emitting element based on a voltage stored in the capacitor. Each first transistor has a channel width W and channel length L, such that a width to length ratio is W/L. The width to length ratio W/Lof one of the first transistors is different than a width-to-length ratio W/Lof at least one other of the first transistors.

Display device and electronic apparatus

Provided is a display apparatus that can suppress degradation of image quality caused by possible color drift. A display apparatus includes a board including a driving circuit based on a current amplitude modulation scheme, multiple first light emitting elements and multiple second light emitting elements two-dimensionally arranged on the board, and a wavelength correcting layer that is able to correct wavelengths of light emitted from the multiple first light emitting elements. The driving circuit is able to independently gamma-correct a first signal fed to the first light emitting element and a second signal fed to the second light emitting element.

Display devices are disclosed. In one example, a display device includes light emitting element groups each including light emitting element units, each of the light emitting element units including first, second and third light emitting elements. Each of the light emitting element groups includes first drive circuits that drive the first light emitting elements, second drive circuits that drive the second light emitting elements, and third drive circuits that drive the third light emitting elements, and in each of the light emitting element groups, the number of first drive circuits is equal to the number of first light emitting elements, the number of second drive circuits is less than the number of second light emitting elements, and the number of third drive circuits is less than the number of third light emitting elements.

Disclosed herein is a display apparatus, including: a foldable substrate; a pixel array section including a plurality of pixels disposed on the substrate and each including an electro-optical device; the foldable substrate being folded at a substrate end portion at least on one side thereof around the pixel array section; a peripheral circuit section disposed on the substrate end portion and adapted to drive the pixels of the pixel array section; and a pad section provided on the substrate end portion on which the peripheral circuit section is provided and adapted to electrically connect the peripheral circuit section to the outside of the substrate.

Display device and a method of manufacturing display device

A light-emitting device comprising an emitting unit including at least two emitting elements, a driving unit configured to control the emitting unit, and a capacitor unit formed over the driving unit. A shield layer may be located between the two emitting elements. In one example, the capacitor unit is formed at a level higher than a level of the driving unit, and a shield layer that is located between the two emitting elements is formed at a level that is higher than the level of the driving unit and equal to or lower than the level of the capacitor unit.

An image display device includes: a pixel array part formed of first to fourth scanning lines arranged in rows, signal lines arranged in columns, pixel circuits in a matrix connected to the scanning lines and signal lines, and a plurality of power source lines which supplies first to third potentials necessary for the operations of pixel circuit; a signal part which supplies a video signal to the signal lines; and a scanner part which supplies a control signal to the first to fourth scanning lines, and in turn scans the pixel circuit for every row, wherein the pixel circuits include a sampling transistor, a drive transistor, first to third switching transistors, a pixel capacitance, and a light emitting device, and a channel length of the drive transistor is made longer than a channel length of the switching transistors to suppress fluctuations in threshold voltage.

A display device includes: a plurality of light-emitting elements, each light-emitting element having a light-emitting unit and a driving circuit for driving the light-emitting unit. The driving circuit at least includes a drive transistor having source/drain regions, a channel forming region, and a gate electrode, a video signal write transistor having source/drain regions, a channel forming region, and a gate electrode, and a capacitive unit. In the drive transistor, one of the source/drain regions is connected to the corresponding current supply line, the other region of the source/drain regions is connected to the light-emitting unit and connected to one end of the capacitive unit, and forms a second node, and the gate electrode is connected to the other region of the source/drain regions of the video signal write transistor and connected to the other end of the capacitive unit, and forms a first node.

Driving circuit for a light-emitting unit of a display device and electronic apparatus

A display device including: a pixel array section; power supply lines; and auxiliary electrodes, wherein each pixel has an auxiliary capacitance, and one of electrodes of the auxiliary capacitance is connected to the source electrode of the drive transistor, and another electrode is connected to the auxiliary electrode for the pixel.
