An object of the present invention is to provide a polyamide resin composition having high mechanical properties and high heat resistance while achieving a satisfactory balance between various physical properties. A molded product made of this polyamide resin exhibits a lower warpage and excellent surface appearance. A method for producing the polyamide, resin composition is also provided. The present invention provides a polyamide resin composition containing a polyamide resin and swelling mica treated with a polyether compound having a bisphenol structure. The present invention also provides a method for making the polyamide resin composition including melt-mixing a polyamide resin with a polyether compound.

Polyamide resin composition and process for producing the same

A vehicle interior-material is provided that efficiently dampens impact forces with ribs protruding into a limited space enclosed by a vehicle panel and a facer, and that reduces the protrusion height of the ribs, thereby curbing the amount that the vehicle interior material bulges into the space of the vehicle interior. The vehicle interior material includes a facer ( ) with a substantially C-shaped cross-section covering a panel ridge ( ) extending in a longitudinal direction on the vehicle compartment side of a vehicle panel, a space ( ) being provided between the panel ridge and the facer; and a plurality of plate-shaped ribs ( ) which are arranged independently from one another, bridging side walls of the facer, the ribs protruding from a rear face of the facer ( ) opposite the vehicle panel into the space ( ) and arranged at substantially right angles with the longitudinal direction of the vehicle panel. The shape of a protruding edge of the plate-shaped ribs ( ) substantially follows at least a protrusion end face of the panel ridge ( ) and the passenger-opposing lateral face formed in continuation thereof to one side. The vehicle interior material further includes a deformation-inducing means ( ), causing a rib portion ( B) protruding towards the protrusion end face of the panel ridge ( ) to buckle at an intermediate protrusion position when subjected to an impact by a passenger.

An impact absorbing member for vehicle interior that has improved impact resistance and sufficiently meets the abovementioned safety standard while maintaining a superior heat deformation property, and that has a reduced rib protrusion height and therefore entails a reduced amount of projection in to the vehicle interior space, wherein the above vehicle interior material is molded using synthetic resin regarding which the tan &dgr; (loss tangent) peak height is 0.04 or higher and the peak temperature is &minus;40&deg; to 50&deg; C., as obtained through viscoelasticity measurement.
