An illuminating device includes a connecting portion supplied with power, a conversion circuit that converts power supplied from the connecting portion, a case having a tubular shape, a support body that divides the case in the radial direction, and a plurality of light emitting diodes provided on one surface of the support body. The illuminating device further includes a drive circuit that drives the light emitting diodes, a secondary battery provided on the other surface of the support body, a charge/discharge control circuit for the secondary battery, and a control section that lights the light emitting diodes by supplied power and charges the secondary battery. The control section permits lighting of the light emitting diodes by a discharge of the secondary battery in a state in which power supply is stopped.

Illuminating device

A hydraulic damper according to the present invention includes a cylinder, working fluid disposed in the cylinder, a piston partitioning the cylinder into two fluid chambers and including passages therethrough for providing fluid communication between the two fluid chambers, and a damping force generation mechanism. The damping force generation mechanism includes a large diameter valve disc mounted adjacent the passages, a smaller diameter valve disc stacked against the large diameter valve disc, an inner pressure chamber formed adjacent and in fluid communication with the passages, and an outer pressure chamber formed adjacent and in fluid communication with the passages and formed radially outwardly of the inner pressure chamber. A partition wall is formed between the inner and outer pressure chambers and a passage is formed through the partition wall for communicating between the inner and outer pressure chambers. The outer pressure chamber is formed of a plurality of chambers spaced circumferentially about a longitudinal axis of the cylinder. In an alternative embodiment, rather than utilizing two separate valve discs, a single valve disc can be used in combination with a biasing spring for biasing the valve disc toward the inner and outer pressure chambers.

Hydraulic damper

A hydraulic shock absorber has a disk valve assembly which is formed by successively stacking up a first disk valve having arc-shaped or circumferentially extending opening provided therein at positions close to the inner periphery thereof, a second disk valve having notches which extend from the outer periphery thereof to the radially outer edges of the corresponding openings provided in the first disk valve, and a predetermined number of annular third disk valves. A respective such disk valve assembly is provided at the downstream end of each of the extension- and contraction-side passages which are formed in a piston. Thus, it is possible to obtain a higher level of damping force in a low piston speed region than in the case of a conventional valve mechanism that uses a fixed orifice, and damping characteristics can be set as desired.

Hydraulic shock absorber

A hydraulic damper of the adjustable damping force type includes a cylinder containing hydraulic liquid therein, a piston working in the cylinder and partitioning the interior thereof into two liquid chambers and having a damping force generating mechanism, a piston rod connected to the piston and extending through one of the liquid chambers to the outside of the cylinder, a coaxial bore formed in the piston rod, a liquid passage communicating the liquid chambers independently from the damping force generating mechanism and including at least a portion of the bore in the piston rod, an adjusting rod inserted into the coaxial bore and operated rotatably from the outside of the damper, and a rotary valve secured to the adjusting rod for selectively changing the effective passage area of the liquid passage. A generally cylindrical orifice tube having a plurality of circumferentially spaced first orifices is provided in a midportion of the liquid passage, the rotary valve slidingly engaging with the inner circumference of the orifice tube. A check valve having a plurality of second orifices normally resiliently engages with the outer circumference of the orifice tube. The second orifices in the check valve are aligned with the first orifices in the orifice tube, with the diameter of each second orifice being smaller than that of a corresponding first orifice.

Hydraulic damper of adjustable damping force type

A hydraulic damper includes a cylinder, a piston working in the cylinder and partitioning the interior thereof into two liquid chambers, two valve discs provided respectively on opposite end surfaces of the piston, two sets of passages opening respectively in opposite end surfaces of the piston to cooperate with respective valve discs, and an orifice communicating permanently the two liquid chambers. A restricting member is provided to change the effective area of the orifice in response to the direction of the liquid flow passing through the orifice.

A cylinder device including a main body defining a cylinder therein, a cap member secured to the main body for closing one end of the cylinder, a piston working in the cylinder and having a piston rod passing through the cap member to project out of the main body, and a seal member surrounding the piston rod and being urged to abut with the inner surface of the cap member. There is provided a cavity between the cap member and the seal member, and an opening formed in the cap member for communicating the cavity with the outside.

Method for filling pressurized gas into a cylinder device

A vehicle suspension device includes a hydraulic damper including a vertical cylinder and a piston rod slidably extending out of the cylinder through the upper end thereof, and an air spring unit including a flexible tubular wall portion member having an inner wall mounted on the cylinder, an outer wall portion mounted on a tubular support member secured to the extending end of the piston rod and a rolling wall portion. A cylindrical housing is rotatably and sealingly mounted on the upper end of the cylinder and extends along the outer circumference of the cylinder, and the free end of the inner wall portion of the flexible tubular wall is secured to the upper end of the housing.
