The present invention is directed to a liquid crystal projector comprising a light source for emitting white light, a separation mechanism for separating the white light into light beams with a plurality of colors at different angles, a liquid crystal panel for giving the light beams optical modulation, a lens mechanism for converging the light beams so that the light beams are incident upon respective pixels of the liquid crystal panel, a mechanism for magnifying and projecting the light beams emergent from the liquid crystal panel, and a moving mechanism for moving an incident position of the light beams on the liquid crystal panel an amount of an integer times a pitch between the pixels.

Liquid crystal projector and method of driving the projector

To provide an output data controller which is capable of protecting the secrecy of print data and enhancing operability and where the degree of freedom of system constructability is high. In a file server, ID data is added to the header file of the print data stored in a first queue, and data representative of copy printing is added to the header file stored in a second queue. In security print mode, print data is not output to a printing device, if an ID and a password number collate with each other in a print server. In copy print mode, print data with data representative of copy printing is selected and output to the printing device.

Data output controller and data output system using this output

The output data controller is provided with a data printing area for storing print data. Management data is generated by the attribute data of a banner page and is stored in a management table. Based on the management data stored in the management table, the print data stored in the data printing area is managed.

Data output controller

A data transfer apparatus includes a computer-side input and output unit for transmitting a data signal which is periodically updated, and a printer-side input and output unit for receiving the data signal transmitted from the computer-side input and output unit and detecting the logic level of the data signal. Particularly, this data transfer apparatus further includes a state transition time measuring circuit, a computer-side CPU, and a printer-side CPU cooperated to transmit a transition test data signal from the computer-side input and output unit in a tuning mode, measure the transition time of the transition test data signal received by the printer-side input and output unit, and adjust transfer parameters which define the transmission rate of the data signal to be transmitted from the computer-side input and output unit and a timing for detecting the logic level of the data signal, on the basis of a result of measurement.

Data transfer apparatus with automatic transmission rate adjustment

A replaceable ribbon cartridge for printers is disclosed and which has a user controllable re-inking capability. The cartridge includes both an ink transfer roller and a drive roller, both of which contact the advancing ribbon during printing operations. Also, a re-inking roller is provided, and the re-inking roller is laterally moveable so as to permit the user to selectively move the re-inking roller to a neutral position wherein it has no substantial contact with either the ink transfer roller or the drive roller, to a first operative position wherein the re-inking roller is in substantial contact only with the ink transfer roller, or to a second operative position wherein the re-inking roller is in contact with both the ink transfer roller and the drive roller.

Ribbon cartridge for printers

A continuous form and cutform feeding unit for a printer. The feeding unit permits feeding a continuous form and cutforms utilizing a cutform feeding arrangement and a continuous form tractor feed. In order to permit either type of form to be fed to a main body of a printer, through a single form feeding passage, a cutform feeding passage and a continuous form feeding passage are provided upstream of the single form feeding passage. In the continuous form feeding passage, a continuous form cutting apparatus is operable to cut a continuous form in response to a signal such as for the beginning of the feeding of cutforms.
