A cushion body includes a seat pad; and a seat cover covering a surface of the seat pad in a state in which a surface of the seat cover is bonded to the surface of the seat pad. The seat pad includes a drawing groove into which an intermediate part of the seat cover is drawn such that a surface of the intermediate part of the seat cover is bonded to the drawing groove; and a deformation promoting structure configured to promote bending of a vicinity portion in vicinity of the drawing groove so as to promote bending of one pad portion with respect to another pad portion in a direction in which a groove width of the drawing groove is increased, the one pad portion being separated from the other pad portion by the drawing groove.

Cushion body

A method for manufacturing a vehicle seat component includes a first step of integrating a cushion member and an upholstery member together during molding of the cushion member, and a second step of forming a flow passage through which air passes from a back surface of the cushion member toward the upholstery member.

Method for manufacturing vehicle seat component

Embodiments of the present invention may include a vehicle seat having a cushion pad, a surface member, and a rigid member. The cushion pad may be equipped with a main portion for supporting an occupant, and a side support portion provided on a side of the main portion. The side support portion may protrude from the main portion so as to support the occupant. The surface member is provided on a surface of the cushion pad. The rigid member is provided inside the side support portion of the cushion pad. The rigid member is of higher rigidity than the cushion pad, and protrudes in the same direction in which the side support portion protrudes. The rigid member has an end portion contacting the surface member.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat component includes a cushion member, and an upholstery member that covers the cushion member. The cushion member and the upholstery member are integrated together during molding of the cushion member. The upholstery member has a first portion that is air-permeable and that is arranged at a seating side, and a second portion that is laminated on the first portion and that prevents intrusion of a molding material of the cushion member. A thin section that is recessed toward the upholstery member is formed in a back surface of the cushion member.

Vehicle seat component

A mold assembly that forms an expansion molded body by expanding foam raw material inside a cavity, includes a first die, a second die that closes together with the first die, wherein a sealed cavity is formed between the first die and the second die when the first die and the second die are closed, and a sealing member that is provided on at least one of the first die or the second die and seals the cavity, wherein at least one of a first space that is on a side of the sealing member that faces the cavity and leads to the cavity, or a second space that is formed inside the sealing member and leads to the cavity, is formed when the first die and the second die are closed.
