An actuator is provided in an actuator housing. A lever is provided in the actuator housing, rotates by driving force from the actuator, contacts an arm that rotates together with the pedal, and is capable of imparting a reaction force to the pedal against a driver's depression force. A fixing member is formed so that a pedal housing and the actuator housing are fixed apart from each other, and are attachable to a vehicle. A positioning portion determines a contact position between an arm and the lever and between a rotation axis of the pedal and a rotation axis of the lever.

Reaction force imparting device

An accelerator device includes a pedal lever, at least one drive source, a power transmission mechanism, and a locking mechanism. The pedal lever operates in response to a depressing operation. The drive source is configured to exert a reaction force as a force in a returning direction to the pedal lever. The power transmission mechanism transmits a drive force from the drive source to the pedal lever. The locking mechanism is capable of regulating the operation of the pedal lever.

Accelerator device

An accelerator device includes a pedal lever, a reaction force adjuster and a controller. The pedal lever operates according to a stepping operation. The reaction force adjuster is driven by an actuator, and is capable of adjusting a reaction force that is a force in a direction of pushing back the pedal lever. The controller includes a target operation amount setting unit and a drive control unit. The target operation amount setting unit sets a target operation amount, which is an operation amount of the pedal lever according to a vehicle speed. The drive control unit controls a drive of the actuator. The controller controls the reaction force according to the target operation amount so that the operation amount of the pedal lever is within a target range when switching from an automatic drive to a manual drive.

A pedal device comprises a brake pedal, an accelerator pedal, a support member and an adjusting device. The brake pedal is operated to be depressed by a leg of a passenger, and an operation amount of a depressing operation of the brake pedal is transmitted as an electrical signal. The accelerator pedal is operated to be depressed by a leg of the passenger, and an operation amount of a depressing operation of the accelerator pedal is transmitted as an electrical signal. The support member is connected with the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal, respectively, to support the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal in a rotatable manner. The adjusting device adjusts a position or a posture of the pedal unit including the brake pedal, the accelerator pedal, and the support member.

Pedal device

An accelerator device includes an inner housing, a pedal lever, an urging member, and an actuator. The inner housing is supported to the outer housing by a support member. The pedal lever is rotatably supported to the inner housing in response to a stepping operation. The urging member urges the pedal lever in a closing direction. The actuator can drive the inner housing in an opening and closing directions of the pedal lever.

An accelerator device includes at least one drive source, a pedal lever, and a power transmission mechanism. The pedal lever is configured to move according to a pedal depressing operation. The power transmission mechanism is configured to transmit force both in the pedal lever's closing direction and opening direction to the pedal lever by driving of the drive source.

In a fastening structure and an accelerator pedal device using the fastening structure, a screw is inserted into a screw insertion hole of a cover from a side of the cover facing away from a housing, and the screw is screwed into a screwing hole of a fastening portion of the housing. An annular space is provided between an edge of the screw insertion hole and the fastening portion.

Fastening structure and accelerator pedal device using same

A distal end portion of a pedal rod is press-fitted into a press-fitting hole, which is formed in a rotatable member. An intermediate portion of the pedal rod extends from and is bent relative to the distal end portion. The intermediate portion is received in a guide groove, which is formed in the rotatable member. An elongated portion of the pedal rod extends from the intermediate portion in a direction opposite from the distal end portion. A pad is provided to an end part of the elongated portion, which is opposite from the intermediate portion, and is adapted to receive a pedal force from a driver of a vehicle. The rotatable member includes a receiving hole that is adapted to receive a jig therethrough to enable the jig to contact the intermediate portion at time of press-fitting the distal end portion into the press-fitting hole.

Pedal apparatus for vehicle and manufacturing method thereof

An accelerator pedal rotates a pedal rotor when depressed. Rotors located on both sides of the pedal rotor are relatively rotatable to the pedal rotor. Second helical teeth of the rotors project toward the pedal rotor and engage with first helical teeth of the pedal rotor to bias the rotors when the pedal rotor rotates in the accelerator opening direction. The pedal rotor is rotatable to an accelerator full-close position without interfering with the first helical teeth when the pedal rotor rotates in an accelerator closing direction. A first biasing unit biases the rotors in the accelerator closing direction. A second biasing unit biases the accelerator pedal or the pedal rotor in the accelerator closing direction.

An accelerator pedal is engaged with the rotor so that the accelerator pedal is pivotable about a rotation axis. A coil spring is arranged on a biasing axis that is generally tangential to an arc path, along which a protrusion of the rotor passes when the rotor rotates about the rotation axis. A holder is interposed between the protrusion of the rotor and the coil spring. A concave surface of the holder contacts a convex surface of the protrusion. A receiving portion of the holder receives the coil spring. The contact point is located between a second end and a first end of the coil spring. The concave surface of the holder and the convex surface of the protrusion are curved to satisfy a predetermined relationship.

Accelerator pedal module

A rotational angle sensor and a connector are provided at a first-side portion and a second-side portion, respectively, of a sensor holder. The first-side portion is engaged with a base through a primary engaging arrangement, and the second-side portion is engaged with the base through a secondary engaging arrangement. The secondary engaging arrangement includes secondary engaging portions of the sensor holder, which are provided in the second-side portion of the sensor holder and are engaged with the base. A distance from an engaging point between the secondary engaging portion of the sensor holder and the base to the sensor is longer than a distance from the engaging point between the secondary engaging portion of the sensor holder and the base to the connector.

Accelerator apparatus

First and second magnets are installed to an inner peripheral wall of a yoke, which is configured into a tubular form. The yoke is constructed from at least one plate material. At each contact portion, a corresponding circumferential end part of the at least one plate material and another corresponding circumferential end part of the at least one plate material contact with each other. A Hall IC is placed in a magnetic field, which is generated between the first and second magnets.

Rotational angle sensing device

A rotation angle detection device for detecting a rotation angle of an object has a substantially cylinder-shaped yoke, a magnetism generation unit which is fixed to an inner surface of the yoke, a magnetism detection member which is arranged substantially in a center axis of the yoke, at least one bearing which rotatably supports the yoke, and a support member which holds the bearing. The yoke is made of a magnetic metal, and fixedly mounted at the object to be rotatable integrally with the object. The magnetism generation unit generates a magnetic field substantially perpendicular to the center axis of the yoke. The magnetism detection member generates an output corresponding to a variation of the magnetic field to detect the rotation angle of the object relative to the magnetism detection member.

Rotation angle detection device having bearing supported yoke fixed to object being detected

A displacement sensor precisely detects displacement of a moving body in a rectilinear movement direction even if the moving body rotates. The sensor includes a detector and a magnet. The cross sectional area of the permanent magnet in a plane perpendicular to an axis, which extends in the rectilinear movement direction, varies in the direction of movement. The permanent magnet is magnetized in the rectilinear movement direction. The detector is located so that magnetic flux passes through a detection face of the detector substantially perpendicularly.

Displacement sensor

In an idle speed control valve, an adjusting screw is inserted into a hole of a valve body and passes through a center of a coil provided in the valve body. The adjusting screw has a ring-shaped flexible projection on its outer periphery between a head portion and a threaded portion thereof to prevent a sealing material from entering. An outer diameter of the projection is equal to or slightly larger than an inner diameter of the hole. Therefore, when the adjusting screw is inserted into the hole, a peak of the projection contacts an inner wall of the hole. The projection may be integrally molded with the adjusting screw. A ring-shaped projection may be provided on a thin wall portion of the adjusting screw.
