An active matrix substrate includes: a signal line provided in an image display region; and a terminal provided in a frame region and electrically connected to the signal line. The terminal includes: a metal layer; a first contact layer located closer to one side in a lamination direction than the metal layer, and electrically connected to the metal layer, a first interlayer insulating layer located closer to the one side in the lamination direction than the first contact layer; and a second contact layer located closer to the one side in the lamination direction than the first interlayer insulating layer, and electrically connected to the first contact layer through a first through-hole formed in the first interlayer insulating layer. The first contact layer is made of a transparent metal oxide or a semiconductor material doped with impurities.

Active matrix substrate and liquid crystal display device

Provided is a display panel including: a plurality of pixel electrodes divided into a plurality of groups; and a plurality of common electrodes arranged at a ratio of one to a plurality of pixel electrodes included in one of the plurality of groups. Each of a plurality of sensor electrode lines overlaps with corresponding one of a plurality of data signal lines in plan view. The plurality of sensor electrode lines and each of the plurality of common electrodes overlap each other in plan view. The each of the plurality of common electrodes is electrically connected to the plurality of sensor electrode lines. At least one insulating film is formed between each of a region between the data signal lines and the sensor electrode lines, a region between the sensor electrode lines and the common electrodes, and a region between the common electrodes and the pixel electrodes.

Display panel with touch detection function

Disclosed herein are a viewing angle control unit, a substrate assembly of the viewing angle control unit, and a display assembly. The viewing angle control unit includes two substrate assemblies, a liquid crystal (LC) component disposed between the substrate assemblies, and a seal component interconnecting the substrate assemblies and surrounding the LC component. At least one of the substrate assemblies includes a transparent base substrate, a transparent electrode layer disposed on the transparent base substrate, and an alignment film disposed on the transparent electrode layer. The transparent electrode layer has a groove extending along at least part of the seal component, so as to mitigate excessive spreading of a material of the alignment film during manufacturing of the viewing angle control unit. The display assembly includes the viewing angle control unit.

Provide are a viewing angle control device, a method of manufacturing the same, and a display panel. The viewing angle control device includes a first substrate and a second substrate disposed opposite each other; a first electrode and a second electrode disposed respectively on inner surfaces of the first substrate and the second substrate opposite each other; a first alignment film disposed on an inner surface of the first electrode opposite the second electrode; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. A groove is provided in a region of the inner surface of the first electrode, and a conductor that is electrically connected to the first electrode and has lower resistivity than the first electrode is provided at the groove or at a periphery of the groove.

Viewing angle control device, manufacturing method thereof and display panel

A display device comprising: a plurality of source lines extending in a first direction; a plurality of gate lines extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction; a plurality of pixel electrodes arrayed in the first direction and the second direction; a plurality of common electrodes disposed corresponding to a plurality of touch regions arrayed in the first direction and the second direction, the plurality of common electrodes being disposed while opposed to the plurality of pixel electrodes; a plurality of sensor electrode lines electrically connected to the plurality of common electrodes; a plurality of inspection signal lines electrically connected to the plurality of common electrodes through a plurality of inspection thin film transistors; and an inspection gate line connected to a gate electrode of each of the plurality of inspection thin film transistors.

The present disclosure relates to a viewing angle control unit and a display unit including the same, in which the viewing angle control unit includes: a first substrate disposed on a side of the surface of the liquid crystal display unit; a second substrate which opposes the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate; and a seal assembly which is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and surrounds the liquid crystal layer and seals and separates the liquid crystal layer from the outside. At least part of the seal assembly is constituted by a seal section and a shade section which are stacked in a direction substantially perpendicular to opposing surfaces of the first substrate and the second substrate.

A spacer disposed in the frame section among the plurality of spacers is formed on the light shielding forming region in the first frame area. The light shielding non-forming region is disposed around the spacer disposed on the light shielding forming region.
