A vibration-damping device capable of reducing the transmission of noise caused by a water pump of a hybrid vehicle, for example, to a vehicle compartment. The vibration-damping device includes a cushion member, a pump mounting member, and an elastic support member. The cushion member supports the pump, and includes holding portions each with a slit formed between an upper and lower surface thereof for insertion therein of end edges of a pump extension member that extends from the pump. The pump mounting member includes inverted L-shaped cross-section retaining portions provided on an upper surface thereof, the supporting portions being disposed between the retaining portions and the upper surface of the pump mounting member to retain the cushion member to the pump mounting member. The elastic support member engages a lower side of the pump to provide support against lateral deflection of the pump.

Vibration-damping device for vehicle pump

A liquid-filled type vibration isolator, having a vibration isolation mechanism, formed between first and second coupling members to be mounted to a vehicle body-side member, including: a rubber-like insulator for absorbing and isolating vibrations from the vibration member; a main chamber, whose chamber walls are formed by a portion of the insulator, and which is filled with liquid; a sub-chamber, whose chamber walls are partially formed by a first diaphragm, coupled to the main chamber through a first orifice; a partitioning member for partitioning between the main chamber and the sub-chamber; a second diaphragm for partitioning between a third liquid chamber to be coupled to the main chamber through a second orifice, and a balance chamber into which negative pressure is introduced.

Liquid-filled type vibration isolator

A vibrating mechanism section comprises an oscillator comprising a vibration coil, a movable iron piece, a stator iron core, a movable shaft, a return spring and so on; a vibration diaphragm driven by the oscillator; and an air pressure generating chamber in which a pulsating air pressure is produced by the vibration diaphragm. The oscillator is provided with a temperature sensor. A vibration isolating mechanism section comprises an insulator; a fluid chamber comprising a main chamber, a sub-chamber, a first orifice and so on; and an amplifying mechanism section comprising a balancing chamber into which the pulsating air pressure is introduced so as to cause the fluid in the main chamber to vibrate, a second diaphragm, a third fluid chamber, a second orifice and so on.

Fluid-sealed type vibration isolating apparatus

A liquid-sealing type vibration isolating apparatus including a first coupling member attached to a vibrator; a second coupling member attached to a member in a vehicle body; an insulator interposed between the coupling members, for absorbing and isolating vibration from the vibrator; a vibration isolating mechanism composed of a main chamber having a chamber wall formed by a portion of the insulator, and charged therein with liquid, an auxiliary chamber communicated with the main chamber through an orifice and having a chamber wall a portion of which is formed by a first diaphragm, an air chamber partitioned from the auxiliary chamber across the first diaphragm, and an equilibrium chamber partitioned from the auxiliary chamber across a second diaphragm; a selector for carrying out change-over operation so as to introduce negative pressure or the atmospheric pressure into the equilibrium chamber in the vibration isolating mechanism control for controlling the change-over operation of the selector, a negative pressure tank provided between a negative pressure source and the selector, and a check valve formed between the negative pressure tank and the negative pressure source, for allowing introduction of only negative pressure, and a solenoid mechanism for driving the selector.

Liquid-sealing type vibration isolating apparatus

A method for producing a cylindrical bushing with hydraulic damping includes the steps of preparing an internal ring having an elliptical cross-section including a major axis and a minor axis, disposing within the internal ring a vibration-damping rubber block through which an inner cylinder coaxially penetrates and which has wall portions for defining a liquid chamber, so that the wall portions extend along the minor axis of the internal ring; deforming the internal ring so as to have a circular cross-section; and press-fitting the deformed internal ring into an outer cylinder.

Method for producing cylindrical bushing with hydraulic damping

A vibration-damping device with hydraulic damping has a base body, a cylindrical holder secured to the base body, and an outer cylinder press-fitted within the cylindrical holder. A vibration-damping rubber body provided with a main liquid chamber enclosing a damping liquid is disposed within the outer cylinder, and retains an inner cylinder. A thin rubber wall is disposed between the outer cylinder and the vibration-damping rubber body, and defines an auxiliary liquid chamber with the vibration-damping rubber body. This auxiliary liquid chamber communicates with the main liquid chamber by way of a throttled passageway. The cylindrical holder has a rib-like projection which radially outwardly project therefrom, and extends in a circumferential direction thereof. This projection defines a groove along an inner surface of the cylindrical holder. This groove communicates with a space defined by the outer cylinder and the thin rubber wall by way of a through hole formed in the outer cylinder, whereby the thin rubber wall freely deforms due to the flow of the damping liquid from the main liquid chamber to the auxiliary liquid chamber, and accordingly, effective vibration-damping operation can be performed.
