In a drive force transmission device, a shock-absorbable rubber is placed between a driving-side rotatable body and a driven-side rotatable body. A bridge portion is placed at a deep side of a holding recess of the shock-absorbable rubber and connects between a primary damper portion and a secondary damper portion. At least one cut part penetrates through the bridge portion in an axial direction of the shock-absorbable body and extends in a radial direction of the shock-absorbable body.

Drive force transmission device

A coupling unit includes an output gear, a coupling and a rubber cushion. A second rotatable shaft portion of the coupling includes a resilient projection that projects outwardly in a radial direction from an outer peripheral surface of the second rotatable shaft portion. The resilient projection is resiliently inwardly deformed in the radial direction during movement of the resilient projection along a deep side of a recessed groove of a through-hole formed in a first rotatable shaft portion of the output gear at a time of fitting the second rotatable shaft portion into the through-hole. When the resilient projection projects from the through-hole, the resilient projection is resiliently outwardly restored and is engaged to an engaging portion of the first rotatable shaft portion to limit removal of the second rotatable shaft portion from the through-hole.

Drive force transmission apparatus

A rotational moving point of a connection between a rod and a valve swings between a full open point, at which the valve is fully opened, and a full close point, at which the valve is fully closed. An apex of this swing is set at a point, which is between the full close point and a half point and satisfies a relationship of &#x3b8;P&#x3e;&#x3b8;A where &#x3b8;P denotes an angle that is defined between a first imaginary line, which connects between a bearing center of a rod bearing and the full open point, and a second imaginary line, which connects between the bearing center and the apex of the swing, and &#x3b8;A denotes an angle that is defined between the first imaginary line and a third imaginary line, which connects between the bearing center and the full close point.

Valve control apparatus

A magnetic sensing surface of a stroke sensor is placed in an angular range between a first imaginary line and a second imaginary line. The first imaginary line is an imaginary line that coincides with a center line between first and second magnets of a magnetic movable body when a wastegate valve is placed to have a full close degree of the wastegate valve. The second imaginary line is an imaginary line that coincides with the center line between the first and second magnets when the wastegate valve is placed to have a half degree between the full close degree and a full open degree of the wastegate valve.

An air intake device for an engine includes a duct having therein a first air flow passage, a housing having therein a second air flow passage, a rotary valve having a valve plate. A block of the housing, which conducts intake air to an intake port of a cylinder head, has a circular opposed surface that follows a shape of a curved surface portion of the valve plate. Moreover, the block of the housing has a protrusion that protrudes toward an upstream side of the second air flow passage in an air flow direction so as to contact a duct protrusion of the duct. Therefore, a localized flow of the intake air, which has flowed into the second air flow passage from an opening of the first air flow passage, can be restrained from spreading, and a flow rate of the localized flow can be restrained from slowing down.

Air intake device for internal combustion engine

An inner ring of a bearing is fixed to an outer periphery of a central portion of a shaft between a pair of facing sections. An outer ring of the bearing is fixed to a hole wall surface of a shaft accommodation recess. A spring is accommodated between one of the pair of facing sections and the bearing in a state where the spring is compressed in a rotational axis direction of a pin rod for pressing the bearing against the other one of the pair of facing sections. Thus, defects such as galling or friction between a casing and rotary valves can be inhibited. Accordingly, occurrence of wear or an abnormal noise between the casing and the rotary valves can be inhibited.
