A hybrid power unit includes: an internal combustion engine; a power transmitting shaft to which power from a crank shaft is transmitted and which is housed in a crank case; an electric motor including a motor driving shaft projecting from a motor housing toward a lateral side, the electric motor being located on an outer surface of the crank case; a linkage which extends through a through hole of the crank case and through which power from the motor driving shaft is transmitted to the power transmitting shaft; and a shaft cover defining a shaft space that houses a portion of the motor driving shaft which projects from the motor housing, the shaft cover being detachably fixed to the outer surface of the crank case so as to cover the through hole.

Hybrid power unit, hybrid straddle vehicle, and case of hybrid power unit

A vehicle includes: a power unit including a transmission that changes the speed of rotation produced by output power of a drive source for travel and a case accommodating the transmission, the transmission including a pivotally supported change shaft, the change shaft being angularly movable about an axis to change a gear ratio of the transmission; and an operation unit that operates to angularly move the change shaft, the operation unit including an electric motor and a power transmission structure that transmits power of the electric motor to the change shaft in the form of rotational power by which the change shaft is angularly moved. The operation unit is mounted on an exterior of the case.

Vehicle

There is provided an internal combustion engine including: a crankshaft; a first cylinder and a second cylinder; and a decompression device configured to depressurize the first cylinder and the second cylinder at a time when the internal combustion engine starts to rotationally derive relative to the first cylinder and the second cylinder at a time after the internal combustion engine starts to rotationally drive. The decompression device is configured such that, at the time when the internal combustion engine starts to rotationally derive, a decompression amount in the second cylinder is greater than a decompression amount in the first cylinder.

Internal combustion engine

An engine unit includes a cylinder, a crankshaft, a crankcase, a generator, a sensor, and a coolant passage. The crankshaft is connected to a piston in the cylinder. The crankcase accommodates the crankshaft therein. The generator includes a rotor that rotates together with the crankshaft and a stator facing the rotor. The generator generates electric power by rotation of the rotor. The sensor detects a rotation position of the rotor. The coolant passage includes an ejection port, guides a coolant to the ejection port, and ejects the coolant from the ejection port toward the sensor.

Engine unit

A straddle vehicle comprises a shift drum formed with an engaged part; a transmission case formed with an insertion hole, a gear position sensor including an engagement part engageable with the engaged part; and a seal ring fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the gear position sensor, and the insertion hole includes a first inner peripheral surface with which the seal ring is in tight contact in a state in which the engagement part is engaged with the engaged part, and a second inner peripheral surface located closer to an entrance of the insertion hole than the first inner peripheral surface and having a diameter larger than a diameter of the first inner peripheral surface, and in a state in which the seal ring has reached an entrance of the first inner peripheral surface, at least a portion of the engagement part is fitted to the engaged part.

Straddle vehicle

A straddle vehicle is capable of discharging high-temperature outdoor air having passed through a radiator with high efficiency. A motorcycleincludes a radiator, a fan, and a fan shroud. The radiator lowers the temperature of a coolant by heat exchange between outdoor air and the coolant. The fan suctions outdoor air, to make the outdoor air hit the radiator arranged upstream in an outdoor air flow direction. The fan shroud covers at least part of the fan, and discharges high-temperature outdoor air, which is outdoor air suctioned by the fan and having passed through the radiator, to outside. The fan shroud has a discharge opening and an air guide. The discharge opening allows the high-temperature outdoor air to be discharged outside. The air guide guides the high-temperature outdoor air such that it is discharged through the discharge opening in a direction including a laterally outward component.
