The control unit is configured to reduce the transmittance of the area of the second display unit when a brightness of a image of a physical object in a real space on which the image of the virtual object is superimposed is higher than a brightness of the image of the virtual object, and increase the transmittance of the area of the second display unit when the brightness of the image of the physical object is not higher than the brightness of the image of the virtual object.

Projection type display device

A reflective liquid crystal display device combined with an optical system with a wire grid is provided for light modulation by a liquid crystal layer.
