The malfunction detection is ceased when the voltage of the battery changes by a value larger than a predetermined value when the pressure sensor detects a malfunction of the pressure variation in the secondary air passage for detecting a malfunction of at least one of the pump and the opening-closing device.

Device for supplying secondary air

A reference injection quantity of fuel to be injected from a port injection valve and an in-cylinder injection valve as well as an injection ratio are determined based on an operation condition. A ratio between a feedback correction amount for port injection and a feedback correction amount for in-cylinder injection is set equal to a ratio of the reference injection quantity. If an injection quantity obtained as a result of addition of a correction amount is smaller than a minimum injection quantity of the injection valve, feedback correction is prohibited. Meanwhile, if the feedback correction amount is small, only the injection valve attaining a larger injection quantity is subjected to feedback correction.

Internal combustion engine

An internal combustion engine includes an in-cylinder injector injecting a fuel into a cylinder and an intake port injector injecting a fuel into an intake port. In the internal combustion engine, when a fuel injection ratio between the in-cylinder injector and the intake port injector is changed such that the ratio of fuel injection from the in-cylinder injector is increased, ignition timing is retard-corrected for a prescribed period after that change.

A fuel vapor feed controlling apparatus of a lean burn internal combustion engine suppresses either one of a rich misfire or a surge when fuel vapor is fed into the engine. A purge controlling unit controls an amount of fuel vapor fed from a fuel reservoir to the engine in response to an operational condition of the engine. A first compensation unit compensates the amount of fuel vapor such that an engine revolution speed of the engine may be identical with a target revolution speed. The purge controlling unit performs a purge control based on a compensation value compensated by the first compensation unit.
