Provided is a light emitting device including a first electrode, a second electrode disposed on the first electrode, and an emission layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. The emission layer includes at least one polycyclic compound represented by Formula 1 below, and may thus exhibit long life characteristics.

An organic electroluminescence device includes a first and electrodes, sandwiching the following layers: a hole transport region disposed on the first electrode, an emission layer disposed on the hole transport region, an electron transport region disposed on the emission layer. The emission layer includes a polycyclic compound represented by the following structure: wherein each of Xto Xis independently carbon or nitrogen, and each of Rto Ris independently a hydrogen atom, a deuterium atom, a substituted or unsubstituted amine group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group of 6 to 30 carbon atoms for forming a ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group of 2 to 30 carbon atoms for forming a ring. If all Xto Xare carbon, at least one of Rand Ris a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl group of 2 to 30 carbon atoms for forming a ring.

An organic electroluminescence device of an embodiment includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and an emission layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein the polycyclic compound includes a boranamine derivative, a first ring and a second ring, each directly linked to a boron atom of the boranamine derivative, a third ring and a fourth ring, each directly linked to a nitrogen atom of the boranamine derivative, and at least one substituted or unsubstituted boryl group, linked to at least one ring among the first to fourth rings, thereby showing long-life characteristics and excellent color reproducibility.

An organic electroluminescence device of an embodiment includes a first electrode, an oppositely disposed second electrode, and a plurality of organic layers disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein at least one of the plurality of organic layers includes a fused polycyclic compound represented by Formula 1 and has an improved emission efficiency and long device life span:

An organic electroluminescence device of an embodiment includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and an emission layer disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode and including a polycyclic compound, wherein the polycyclic compound includes a boron atom, a first aromatic ring and a second aromatic ring, which are each directly connected with the boron atom, an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, which is directly connected with the boron atom, a third aromatic ring, which is directly connected with the oxygen atom or the sulfur atom, a first linker connecting the first aromatic ring and the second aromatic ring, and a second linker connecting the second aromatic ring and the third aromatic ring, thereby showing long-life characteristics and excellent color reproducibility.
