A connector to be connected to another connector includes a fixed contact, a movable contact, a housing having an opening into which the other connector is insertable, a switch that is movable in a direction in which the other connector is inserted, a cam that is rotatably supported and includes a first cam and a second cam, and a card that moves the movable contact. The connector is configured such that when the other connector is inserted into the connector, the switch is pushed and moved by the other connector, the first cam is pushed by the switch and the cam rotates, the second cam pushes the card when the cam rotates, and the card moves the movable contact to contact the fixed contact.

A connector includes multiple contact sets that are aligned. Each of the contact sets includes a signal contact for signal transmission and multiple ground contacts. The ground contacts include respective shield portions. The ground contacts are provided around the signal contact in such a manner as to surround the signal contact by the respective shield portions.

Contact

A contact monolithically formed of a single metal plate includes a tubular part, a first end part, a second end part, and a spring accommodated in the tubular part. The first end part is at a first end of the tubular part and moves relative to the tubular part. The second end part includes a terminal and a flexible portion. The flexible portion extends from a second end of the tubular part. The terminal extends from the flexible portion in a direction away from the tubular part. The spring urges the first end part in a direction away from the second end part. The flexible portion deforms and thereby moves the terminal on a surface of an object when the terminal is pressed against the object.

A connector includes a connector case and probe pins that are arranged two-dimensionally in the connector case. Each of the probe pins includes a housing, a first contact terminal disposed at one end of the housing, a second contact terminal disposed at another end of the housing, and plural bent parts formed in the housing and protruding outward from a surface of the housing. The connector case includes through holes. Each of the through holes accommodates the probe pin and includes grooves that are formed in its inner surface and correspond to the bent parts. The grooves of each through hole face substantially the same directions as the grooves of other through holes.

A contact of a connector includes a board contact part to be connected to a circuit board; a first contact part including an extension part that is connected to the board contact part and extends in an insertion direction in which a target object is inserted into the connector, a first bent part that extends from the extension part and is bent to one side, and a first contact point that is located closer to an end of the first contact part than the first bent part and contacts the target object; and a second contact part including a second bent part that is connected to the board contact part and is bent to the one side, and a second contact point that is located closer to an end of the second contact part than the second bent part and contacts the target object.
