An automated analyzer for analyzing a specific component in a specimen includes a rotor, a specimen dispenser, a temperature controlling element, a stirrer, and a data analyzer. The rotor is provided with a plurality of specimen container holders for holding the specimen container containing the specimen, and a plurality of reaction container holders that correspond with each of the specimen container holders and hold the sealed reaction containers containing the reagent for reacting with the specimen. The specimen dispenser removes the specimen from the specimen container and dispenses the specimen into the reaction container. The temperature controlling element maintains the temperatures of the reaction container at a constant temperature. The stirrer uses magnetic force to stir a mixed solution of the reagent and the specimen in the reaction container. The data analyzer analyzes the mixed solution.

Automated analyzer

An automatic analyzer which includes a storage means which stores test order information, a first identification means which reads sample identification information, a work list preparing means which prepares a work list on the basis of the sample identification information, a loading order determination means which determines the order in which sample cups and reaction cups are loaded from the work list, a second identification means which automatically reads specification component information and a collating means which compares the specific component information with the work list.

Automatic analyzer

An analyzer comprises a conveyor which conveys sample cups and reaction cups intermixedly on a closed track, a reactor which maintains reaction cups at a predetermined temperature, a trashbin which collects used reaction cups, a nozzle unit, a reaction cup lift which carries a reaction cup between the conveyor, the reactor and the trashbin and a drive unit which drives the nozzle unit and the reaction cup lift to reciprocate, wherein the trashbin is placed on the straight track of the reaction cup lift, at least part of the closed track of the conveyor is straight and overlaps the straight track of the nozzle unit and the reaction cup lift, and the straight part of the track of the conveyor accommodates at least two cups. An automatic analyzer comprises a storage means which stores test order information, a first identification means which reads sample identification information, a work list preparing means which prepares a work list on the basis of the sample identification information, a loading order determination means which determines the order in which sample cups and reaction cups are loaded from the work list, a second identification means which automatically reads specific component information and a collating means which compares the specific component information with the work list.

Analyzer

A method of rate calculation in which, in connection with a reaction in which the substrate of an enzyme undergoes the action of the enzyme to be converted to a reaction product, a signal correlated to the concentration of the reaction product is measured at different points of time, those measured values obtained which exceed the upper limit preset in accordance with the detection limit of a detector to be used are excluded while selecting those measured values obtained at different points of time at least equal in number to the independent parameters of the approximating function and which are not greater than said upper limit and the measured values thus selected are weighted by a finite value to effect approximation by said function, provided that said finite value for weighting at least a portion of the measured values are changed continuously in accordance with the magnitudes of said specific measured values. This method is capable of calculating the rate of enzyme activity to accomplish precise quantification of a substance without impairing the continuity of a calibration curve even if measurements are conducted at discontinuous points of time over a measurement range where the rate will change under the influence of the concentrations of the substrate and the reaction product in the reaction mixture.
