[PROBLEMS] To provide a softening detergent composition capable of washing a fibrous manufactured article having softening ability, and at the same time allowing a clay mineral to be less likely to remain on clothes.

Softening detergent composition

[PROBLEMS] To provide a softening detergent composition capable of washing a fibrous manufactured article or the like having softening ability, and at the same time allowing a clay mineral to be less likely to remain on clothes. [SOLVING MEANS] A softening detergent composition containing (a) 2 to 20% by mass of clay granules containing as a main component a smectite clay mineral represented by the following general formula (I), provided that a Na/Ca mass ratio in the granules is 1.0 or more: [Si(MgAl)O(OH)].X/n [Me](I), wherein a, b, and x satisfy the formulas 0&#x3c;a&#x2266;6, 0&#x2266;b&#x2266;4, 0.2&#x2266;x=12&#x2212;2a&#x2212;3b&#x2266;1.2; Me is at least one member of Na, K, Li, Ca, Mg and NH; and n is valency of Me; (b) 3 to 9% by mass of a nonionic surfactant; and (c) 12 to 27% by mass of an anionic surfactant, provided that a salt of a fatty acid is excluded; and the softening detergent composition used for hand-washing.

The present invention relates to a softening detergent composition containing a glyceryl monoether represented by formula (I) and (b) a clay mineral:R&#x2014;O&#x2014;(CHO)&#x2014;H&#x2003;&#x2003;(I)wherein R represents a hydrocarbon group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms and n represents the degree of condensation of glycerin and denotes a number from 3 to 5.

Detergent particles obtained by a process comprising the step of dryneutralizing base particles comprising a water-soluble solid alkali inorganic substance (A) with a liquid acid precursor (B) of a non-soap anionic surfactant, wherein the base particles are obtained by a spray-drying method, and wherein the base particles contain the component (A) in an amount of equal to or greater than 4 times the amount equivalent for neutralizing the component (B) and have an average particle size of from 150 to 400 &#x3bc;m; base particles having an average particle size of from 150 to 400 &#x3bc;m, comprising 20 to 80% by weight of a water-soluble solid alkali inorganic substance; a process for preparing detergent particles comprising the steps of (a) preparing a slurry comprising a water-soluble solid alkali inorganic substance (A) in an amount equal to or greater than 4 times the amount equivalent for neutralizing a liquid acid precursor (B) of a non-soap anionic surfactant to be added in step (c); (b) spray-drying the slurry obtained in step (a) to give base particles; and (c) mixing the liquid acid precursor (B) with the base particles obtained in step (b) and dry-neutralizing the resulting mixture; and a detergent composition comprising the detergent particles as defined above. The detergent particles can be used for laundry detergents, dishwashing detergents and the like.

Process for preparing detergent particles

A process for preparing detergent particles containing step (I): mixing a base particle for supporting a surfactant ((a) component), and a surfactant composition ((b) component), under mixing conditions wherein the (a) component does not substantially undergo breakdown, to give a mixture; wherein the base particle is obtained by spray-drying an aqueous slurry, wherein the mixing operation is carried out by using a mixer containing agitation impellers, and where the mixer further contains disintegration impellers, the mixing operation step (I) is carried out without substantially rotating the disintegration impellers; and step (II): mixing the mixture obtained in step (I) with 5 to 100 parts by weight of fine powder, while substantially maintaining the shape of the (a) component containing (b) component, to give detergent particles, having a degree of particle growth of 1.3 or less, and a bulk density of 500 g/L or more.

Process for producing detergent particles

The present invention relates to a process for preparing particles for supporting a surfactant, comprising a step of giving a defect to a coating film containing a water-soluble component, wherein the coating film is formed on surfaces of raw material particles; and a process for preparing detergent particles comprising a step of mixing a surfactant composition and the particles for supporting a surfactant obtained by the above process, under conditions that the surfactant composition shows a liquid state. By using the process of the present invention, there can be obtained particles for supporting a surfactant, in which the supporting ability of the particles is improved, without lowering the detergency. In addition, by using the particles for supporting a surfactant, there can be obtained detergent particles having excellent detergency.

Process for producing granules for supporting surfactant

The present invention relates to a granular detergent composition having easy measurability and distributivity suitable for spoon measurement, a bulk density thereof being 500 g/L or more, containing a surfactant, a water-insoluble inorganic compound and a water-soluble salt, wherein the granular detergent composition has a variance of powder dropping rate V of 1.0 or less, an inserting pressure P of 80 gf/cm or less, a &Dgr; dropping ratio D of 14% of les, and an index K of from 30 to 230, the index K being represented by the equation: K&equals;P&times;exp (0.135&times;D), wherein P stands for an inserting pressure (gf/cm), and D stands for a &Dgr; dropping ratio (%); and a process for preparing the same.

Granulated detergent composition

The present invention relates to a process for preparing uni-core detergent particles having a degree of particle growth of 1.5 or less and a bulk density of 500 g/L or more, comprising the steps of (A-I) mixing base particles for supporting a surfactant which have an average particle size of from 150 to 500 &mgr;m and a bulk density of 400 g/L or more &lsqb;Component (a)&rsqb; with a surfactant composition &lsqb;Component (c)&rsqb;; (A-II) mixing a mixture obtained in Step (A-I) with a powdery builder &lsqb;Component (b)&rsqb; of which primary average particle size is from 3 to 30 &mgr;m; and (A-III) mixing a mixture obtained in Step (A-II) with a fine powder &lsqb;Component (d)&rsqb; of which primary average particle size is smaller than that of Component (b). By using the process of the present invention, the uni-core detergent particles which are excellent in the dissolubility and the flowability properties can be prepared.

Method for producing single nucleus detergent particles

The surfactant composition of the present invention is a surfactant composition which is capable of being formulated for use in a non-liquid detergent composition, the surfactant composition comprising a) a nonionic surfactant having a melting point of 30&deg; C. or less; b) an anionic surfactant having sulfonate group; and c) an immobilization agent for a) component, wherein b) component is formulated in an amount of from 0 to 300 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of a) component, and wherein c) component is formulated in an amount of from 1 to 100 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of a) component, and wherein the surfactant composition has (1) a temperature range that a viscosity of the composition is 10 Pa&middot;s or less at a temperature equal to or higher than a pour point of the surfactant composition; and (2) a temperature range that a penetrating hardness of the composition is 100 g/cm or more in a temperature range between a temperature lower than the pour point of the surfactant composition and a temperature higher than the melting point of a) component.

Surfactant composition

Detergent formulations incorporating crystalline alkali metal silicate granules provide enhanced performance in removing sebum dirt stains at low dosages of detergent in the wash. The detergent formulations are prepared by combining an alkali metal silicate having a high pH value with a nonionic surfactant and an acid precursor of an anionic surfactant capable of having a lamellar orientation. The formulation is granulated by tumbling in an agitating mixer while increasing the bulk density at elevated temperatures to yield alkali metal silicate granules having a bulk density of from 0.6 to 1.2 g/ml.

Method for producing crystalline alkali metal silicate granules and granular high density detergent

To provide detergent particles having high-speed dissolution capable of dissolving quickly in water after supplying the detergent particles in water, and a method for preparing the detergent particles, and a detergent composition comprising the detergent particles. Detergent particles having an average particle size of from 150 to 500 &mgr;m and a bulk density of 500 g/liter or more, wherein the detergent particles comprising a detergent particle being capable of releasing a bubble from an inner portion of the detergent particles in a process of dissolving the detergent particle in water, the bubble having a size of one-tenth or more of a particle size of the detergent particle, and wherein the detergent particles have a dissolution rate as calculated by Equation (1) of 90% or more, under conditions where the detergent particles are supplied in water at 5&deg; C.; stirred for 60 seconds under the test stirring conditions; and filtered with a standard sieve having a sieve-opening of 74 &mgr;m as defined by JIS Z 8801, or wherein the detergent particles have a dissolution rate of 82% or more, the detergent particles stirred for 30 seconds and calculated in the same manner as above.

The method for producing nonionic detergent granules includes the steps of (I) blending the following (i) to (iii): (i) at least one of a nonionic surfactant and an aqueous nonionic surfactant solution; (ii) an acid precursor of an anionic surfactant capable of having a lamellar orientation; (iii) at least one of an alkali builder and an alkali, porous oil-absorbing carrier, to give a mixture of detergent starting materials containing the nonionic surfactant as a main surfactant component; and (II) heating the mixture obtained in step (I) at least up to a temperature capable of neutralizing the acid precursor of the anionic surfactant in an agitating mixer, and granulating while tumbling the agitating mixer thereby increasing a bulk density, to give nonionic detergent granules having a bulk density of from 0.6 to 1.2 g/ml.
