Coil component

An inductor has a coil portion made of a wire wound in a coil shape and an element body in which the coil portion is provided. The element body has a first core member, a second core member, and a third core member. The first core member has a winding core portion configured to be positioned inside the coil portion. The second core member is accommodated in the winding core portion. The third core member covers the coil portion and the first core member in which the second core member is accommodated in the winding core portion.

Coil device

A coil devicecomprises a first bobbinhaving a first bobbin plateprovided with a first hollow cylinderon which a primary coilis wound at the outer periphery, and a second bobbinmounted on the first bobbinand having a second bobbin plateprovided with a second hollow cylinderon which a secondary coilis wound at the outer periphery. A winding center Cof the primary coiland a winding center Cof the secondary coildisplace with a predetermined displacement (Lx) along a predetermined reference direction X.

Discharge lamps are respectively aligned and arranged, and a first alternating voltage output from an inverter circuit is supplied to one electrode of each discharge lamp, whilst a second alternating voltage output from the inverter circuit is supplied to the other electrode of the same. A signal processor compares a first voltage signal with a second voltage signal, and generates a current-limit signal when a difference in amplitude between these signals is not smaller than a predetermined value. The current-limit signal is supplied to the inverter circuit to help reduce the chance on an accidental electric shock.
