An operation device includes an operation unit configured to be movable relative to a device body of the operation device. The operation device includes a first detector that detects touching of the operation unit and a second detector that detects movement of the operation unit relative to the device body. The operation device further includes a controller that processes detection signals of the first detector and the second detector so that the movement of the operation unit relative to the device body and the touching of the operation unit correspond to inputs for operating an operation subject apparatus.

Operation device

A vehicle electronic key system that may be lent to a third person without having to worry about how the key would be used. The key system includes a portable key and a control unit installed in a vehicle. When the vehicle owner does not want the third person to use a certain accessory, the owner registers a restriction code in the key. The restriction code is registered only when a fingerprint input from an input device matches the owner's fingerprint that is pre-registered in the key. The registration of the restriction code prohibits operation of the accessory.

Vehicle electronic key system

A drive system controller that improves the level of security for a vehicle. A main microcomputer activates an image recognizer when wireless communication is established with a portable device. The image recognizer images a vehicle occupant to generate image data and uses the image data to verify whether the vehicle occupant is an authorized user. The main microcomputer enables the starting of the engine when wireless communication with the portable device is established and the image recognizer verifies that the vehicle occupant is an authorized user.

Vehicle drive system controller

A door opening and closing apparatus has a motor, a door latch and a power generation mechanism. When the voltage of the battery is below a level needed to drive the electric actuator, a predetermined manipulation of the power generation mechanism generates the power needed to drive the motor. Therefore, when the voltage of a battery that supplies electric power to the electric actuator is below a level needed to drive the electric actuator, the door opens.

Door opening and closing apparatus

A drive system operation apparatus that is easy to operate and improves the level of security in a vehicle. A gearshift operator and an engine switch are located near each other. A cover covers the gearshift operator and the engine switch. The cover is opened when predetermined conditions, including establishment of wireless communication with an authorized key, are satisfied.

Vehicle drive system operation apparatus and vehicle drive control system

A vehicle imaging apparatus for generating a picture of a wide are in an inexpensive manner without affecting the aesthetic appeal of the vehicle. The vehicle imaging apparatus generates a picture of a predetermined area outside a vehicle having a rearview mirror. The vehicle imaging apparatus includes a reflection mirror arranged in the rearview mirror and having a curved surface. An imaging device is arranged in the rearview mirror to generate a picture from an image reflected on the reflection mirror. The rearview mirror is located on the passenger side of the vehicle and has a housing. The reflection mirror is arranged in a lower portion of the rearview mirror so that an upper portion of the reflection mirror is covered by the housing and a portion excluding the upper portion is exposed.

Vehicle imaging apparatus, vehicle monitoring apparatus, and rearview mirror

An outer mirror and a vehicle interphone are provided for transmitting a sound to the outside from a vehicle cabin and vice versa. Sound outside the vehicle cabin is transmitted to the cabin from a microphone-loudspeaker provided in a visor cover of the outer mirror. The microphone-loudspeaker is supported on a frame having higher rigidity than the visor cover, which is mounted to a vehicle body via an electric accommodating unit and a door mirror base to promote shock resistance. The visor cover includes a sound-conducting opening in its bottom portion, and the microphone-loudspeaker is made waterproof to promote weather resistance.

Outer mirror and interphone for a vehicle

A lighting system that automatically turns on lights with a key used for locking the doors of a car and a house. The system includes the key and a lighting device. The key generates and transmits a transmission signal containing verification subject information. A light control unit connected to the lighting device receives the transmission signal from the key and verifies the key with an ID code. The light control unit activates the lighting device.

Lighting system

A vehicle light controller that facilitates recognition of a vehicle. The controller includes a portable device having a communication function. A lighting device is arranged in the vehicle and has a vehicle entering mode and a vehicle exiting mode with changeable lighting patterns. A first controller and a second controller are connected to the lighting device and communicate with the portable device. The first controller illuminates the lighting device in the vehicle entering mode when communication with the portable device is established and changes the lighting pattern of the lighting device in the vehicle entering mode when a first condition is satisfied. The second controller illuminates the lighting device in the vehicle exiting mode when communication with the portable device is established and a second condition is satisfied.

Vehicle light controller

A rearview mirror is located between a driver's seat and a front passenger's seat. The rearview mirror includes a housing, a reflector, and an interface. The housing includes a front surface facing the driver's seat, a rear surface at the opposite side of the front surface, and a slot at a part closer to the driver's seat than the passenger's seat. A recording medium is attached to and removed from the interface by moving the recording medium along a predetermined moving axis. The interface performs at least one of reading of data from the medium and writing of data to the medium. The predetermined moving axis is inclined relative to the width direction of the housing such that the predetermined moving axis approaches the center in the width direction of the housing from the front surface toward the rear surface.

Rearview mirror

A rearview mirror has a housing. The housing includes a front surface facing a driver's seat, a rear surface at the opposite side of the front surface. The housing has a slot for receiving a recording medium that stores predetermined data. The slot has a width, which is larger than a width of an insert potion that of the recording medium. The recording medium is inserted into the slot at an arbitrary position in the width direction of the slot. An interface performs at least one of reading of data from the recording medium and writing of data to the recording medium. The interface includes a detector, a data input/output unit and a moving mechanism. The detector detects insertion of the recording medium into the slot. The data input/output unit swaps data with the recording medium. The moving mechanism moves one of the data input/output unit and the recording medium to a position where the data input/output unit faces the recording medium.
