A scroll compressor includes a sealed container, a compression mechanism portion for a refrigerant, a compliant frame and a guide frame which support an orbiting scroll, an electric motor which drives the orbiting scroll, balance weights, a refrigerant flow path which introduces a refrigerant gas discharged through a discharge port of a fixed scroll to a bottom portion of the sealed container, cup-shaped members provided on both upper and lower surfaces of the rotor of the electric motor and contain the balance weights, a penetrating flow path through which the refrigerant gas containing a refrigerating machine oil flows from a lower side of the rotor of the electric motor through the interiors of the cup-shaped members to an upper side of the rotor, and a discharge cover which is provided at a lower portion of the frame, and which introduces the refrigerant gas to a discharge pipe.

Scroll compressor

A hermetic compressor includes a hermetic container having a bottom portion in which lubricating oil is stored and an electric motor including a stator and a rotator. The hermetic compressor further includes a drive shaft attached to the rotator and a compression mechanism for compressing refrigerant by using rotation of the drive shaft. The hermetic compressor also includes a rotary pressure increasing mechanism for increasing a pressure of refrigerant gas, the rotary pressure increasing mechanism being arranged on the rotator, and a cylindrical lateral wall for partitioning a space above the electric motor into an outer space and an inner space in a manner that the a cylindrical lateral wall surrounds the rotary pressure increasing mechanism. Finally, the hermetic compressor includes a discharge pipe for allowing the refrigerant to flow out from the inner space into an external circuit that is external to the hermetic container.

A sealed compressor includes a centrifugal impeller above a rotor to synchronously rotate. A refrigerant rises through a rotor air hole, flows in an upper space, and flows out from a discharge pipe. The centrifugal impeller includes an oil separation plate on the rotor, and plural vanes standing on the oil separation plate, and forms inter-vane flow passages between adjacent vanes, and a vane inner flow passage that guides refrigerant from the rotor air hole to inner entrances of the inter-vane flow passages. Outer exits of the inter-vane flow passages are disposed along an entire circumference, and refrigerant increased in pressure while passing through the inter-vane flow passages flows out from the outer exits to the upper space. The oil separation plate closes a short-circuit passage through which the refrigerant directly flows from the vane inner flow passages to the discharge pipe without passing through the inter-vane flow passages.

Sealed compressor and vapor compression refrigeration cycle apparatus including the sealed compressor

A refrigerant compressor includes: an electric motor including a stator and rotor inside a sealed vessel; a compressing mechanism driven by a crank shaft in the rotor; a lower portion oil pool storing in the sealed vessel lubricating oil that lubricates the compressing mechanism; an upper counterweight on an upper end of the rotor. Refrigerant gas compressed by the compressing mechanism is discharged inside the sealed vessel, passes through a gas channel formed on the electric motor, moves from a lower space to an upper space with respect to the electric motor, and is discharged outside the sealed vessel. An oil return flow channel is formed on the upper end of the rotor toward a lower end from a vicinity of a leading end portion of the upper counterweight in a direction of rotation, and oil expressed in a vicinity of the rotor is directed to the oil return flow channel.

Refrigerant compressor

On the assumption that pressure Pm (MPa) of a boss portion outside space determined by a restrictor and a flow regulating valve provided midway in an oil feed passageway is expressed by Pm &equals;Ps&plus;&agr;, and a differential pressure value at which a difference between high and low pressures becomes minimum in a running pressure range of a scroll compressor is represented by min(Pd&minus;Ps), the value a in the above expression is set to fall in a range expressed by 0<&agr;<min(Pd&minus;Ps). Here, Ps represents suction pressure (MPa) of the compressor, and Pd represents discharge pressure (MPa) of the compressor.

A compressor includes a compression mechanism part for compressing refrigerant sucked from an outside of the hermetic container and discharging compressed refrigerant to a discharge space, an electric motor part composed of a stator and a rotor, facing a first space which is at an opposite side of the discharge space with respect to the compression mechanism part in the hermetic container, for driving the compression mechanism part through a main shaft, a passage at an external circumferential side of the compression mechanism part, for connecting the discharge space with the first space, and a fan provided at an end of the rotor, facing the first space. The refrigerant discharged into the discharge space passes through the passage at the external circumferential side of the compression mechanism part to reach the first space, and passes the fan to be discharged to the outside of the hermetic container.

A structure is provided that prevents excessive force from acting on a fastening portion where a guide frame is fastened to a sealed container. A fastening position of the guide frame and sealed structure is set within a range bounded by an upper meshing circumferential inner surface of the guide frame together with an upper meshing circumferential outer surface of a compliant frame and a lower meshing circumferential inner surface of the guide frame together with a lower meshing circumferential outer surface of the compliant frame.

According to a scroll compressor of the present invention, at least one of a diameter space between an upper fitting surface of the guide frame and an upper fitting surface of the compliant frame at an upper fitting part where the upper fitting surface of the guide frame contacts with the upper fitting surface of the compliant frame, and a diameter space between a lower fitting surface of the guide frame and a lower fitting surface of the compliant frame at a lower fitting part where the lower fitting surface of the guide frame contacts with the lower fitting surface of the compliant frame is set to be equal to or shorter than a diameter space between the rotor and the stator.
