An air-intake control apparatus of an internal combustion engine formed by attaching a flange portion provided to an end portion of a drive motor to a cylindrical hole portion. A throttle body has at least one positioning projection (or recess) provided to an inner wall of the cylindrical hole portion. The drive motor complementarily has at least one positioning recess (or projection) provided to the flange portion at a position corresponding to the positioning projection (or recess). The drive motor is attached to the cylindrical hole portion while the positioning recess (or projection) abuts on the positioning projection (or recess) in such a manner that a center distance between a motor shaft and a throttle shaft takes a predetermined value. Hence, not only attachment workability but also attachment accuracy of the drive motor can be enhanced. The air-intake control device therefore has higher product reliability.

Air-intake control apparatus of internal combustion engine

In the intake air quantity control device for an internal combustion engine, in which an open area formed at a portion of the throttle body is encapsulated by a cover including a rotational angle detector, a throttle gear is fixed to a throttle shaft for rotatably supporting a throttle valve and has a fitting portion at a portion of the throttle gear. The rotational angle detector includes a rotor that is rotatably supported and arranged in the cover in such a way that an axis of the rotor is identical to an axis of the throttle gear, and a lever that is provided at a portion of the rotor, which is faced to the throttle shaft, and engaged to a wall portion of the throttle gear at a portion of the lever.

Intake air quantity control device for internal combustion engine

An throttle body for rotating a valve shaft of an air-intake throttle valve through a decelerating mechanism by a motor and change the opening area of an air-intake passage by rotating the valve shaft is equipped with a lever portion that is disposed so as to be interlocked with the decelerating mechanism and regulates the opening degree of the air-intake throttle valve under the full-open state, and an adjusting screw that is threadably inserted from the outside of the body portion and abuts against the lever portion in the body portion to change the opening degree of the air-intake throttle valve under the full-open state.

An electronically-controlled throttle body includes a throttle valve having a valve disc, fixed on a valve shaft rotatably supported in a body inside which an air-intake passage is formed, for varying an opening area of the air-intake passage; a reduction gear mechanism connected to the valve shaft of the throttle valve; and a motor connected to the reduction gear mechanism; rotational drive power from the motor is transmitted to the valve shaft via the reduction gear mechanism, and the opening area of the air-intake passage is varied by rotatably moving the valve disc. The reduction gear mechanism includes a planetary gear mechanism and a spur gear reduction gear mechanism, rotational drive power from the motor is decelerated by the planetary mechanism, and the decelerated rotational drive power is further decelerated by the spur gear reduction gear mechanism, and then transmitted to the valve shaft.

Electronically-controlled throttle body

A rotation angle detection apparatus is capable of preventing an eddy current and radio wave noise from being transmitted from outside to a yoke and a permanent magnet through a metal plate, and thence to a non-contact sensor through radiation as it is. The apparatus includes a yoke, a permanent magnet that is arranged on an inner wall surface with magnetic flux flowing from its N pole to its S pole through an inner space thereof, a metal plate formed integral with the yoke and the permanent magnet through a resin by insert molding, and a non-contact sensor arranged in the inner space of the permanent magnet. Between the metal plate and the individual end faces of the yoke and the permanent magnet, there is interposed a high impedance member that prevents radio wave noise from flowing from the metal plate to the yoke and the permanent magnet.

Intake throttle valve apparatus

An intake air throttle valve device is capable of statically determining the opening of a throttle valve by balance between a driving force from a motor and an elastic force from an elastic member, thus making it possible to prevent the occurrence of a range in which it is impossible to control the opening of the throttle valve in accordance with the amount of electric power supplied to the motor. The intake air throttle valve device of the present invention is provided, in an intermediate portion of the elastic member with a load applying element for causing the elastic member to generate a force to oppose the force of a throttle gear thereby to apply a load to the throttle gear. The load applying element includes a third engagement portion, a first abutment portion and a second abutment portion.

A throttle valve control device for an internal combustion engine is obtained which has an improved sector gear capable of suppressing inclinations of tooth surfaces of its resin teeth due to shrinkage of a resin upon hardening thereof at the time of insert molding. The throttle valve control device includes a motor and the sector gear operatively connected with the motor for driving a shaft , on which a throttle valve is fixedly mounted, by means of power transmitted thereto from said motor. The sector gear has a sector-shaped rigid core member , and a resin molded portion with the teeth formed on the core member by insert molding. The core member has a support portion with a curved surface formed to extend along bottoms of the teeth and project in an axial direction as well.

Intake air rate controlling device for an internal combustion engine

A disk-shaped throttle valve composed of an injection-molded resin having first main surface and a second main surface which are generally parallel includes a circular groove or semi-circular grooves centered on a gate resin portion where the resin is injected. The first main surface may also include a recess portion around the gate resin portion positioned such that the gate resin portion does not project beyond the first main surface. An accumulated resin portion may also be disposed on the second main surface opposite the gate resin portion, the accumulated resin portion being formed as a protrusion positioned such that an apex portion does not project beyond the second main surface.

Throttle valve for an air flow control assembly

A portion of a throttle valve at which the throttle valve is fixed on a throttle valve shaft is formed as a thick portion, and the throttle valve has an outer peripheral portion of at least one of an internal combustion engine side and an air intake side formed with a gradually thinned portion which is formed so as to be gradually thinned toward an intake pipe wall than the thick portion.

Control valve device

A higher reliable air control valve capable of improving producibility and reducing manufacturing cost without unpleasant characteristic change under operation. An air control valve includes: a bobbin wound by an energizing coil; a fixed plate for covering one end of this bobbin to construct a magnetic path; a yoke for at least partially covering the other end of said bobbin and an outer peripheral portion of the energizing coil, and being engaged with said fixed plate to constitute the magnetic path; an exterior member for constituting an exterior of said energizing coil and for making up the bobbin, the fixed plate, and the yoke in an integral form; a fixed core fitted into an inner diameter portion of said bobbin and fixed to said fixed plate; a movable core slidably inserted into the inner diameter portion of the bobbin along an axial direction and on which a valve body is slidably mounted via a spring at one end thereof along the axial direction; a return spring mounted between a spring adjusting member provided with said fixed core and said movable core; and a housing having an air inlet port, an air outlet port, and a valve seat provided in an air passage between said air inlet port and said air outlet port. Both said valve body mounted on said movable core and said valve seats of the housing constitute a valve; and said inner diameter portion of said bobbin is a guide for slidably holding said movable core along the axial direction.

Air control valve

A movable core (71) is formed to have such an outer shape that the surface area of the movable core opposite to a yoke (51) is reduced in the region where the stop position, which is determined by balancing between the electromagnetic attracting force and a return spring (70), exceeds a certain position. Thus, when the movable core (71) is stopped in the certain position, the outer circumference surface of a larger-diameter portion of the movable core (71) faces the yoke and the magnetic flux passes through the magnetic passage as per designed. But when the movable core (71) is stopped beyond the certain position, both large- and small-diameter portions of the movable core (71) face the yoke (51) and the outer circumference area of the larger-diameter portion of the movable core (71) which faces the yoke (51) is reduced. Therefore, the magnetic flux becomes hard to pass through the magnetic passage and the electromagnetic attracting force is reduced. As a result, the movable core is less attracted to come close to or abut against the stationary core even when an overcurrent is applied to a coil, and deterioration in control performance possibly caused by residual magnetism is suppressed.

Flow control valve

An idle position detection switch, in which a fixed contact, a terminal for transmitting an idle position signal to an external terminal, and a support disc firmly attaching both the fixed contact and the terminal are insert-molded into a connector made of a resin. As a result of the construction, not only the switch can be fabricated with less components and less cost, but also each contact portion has such an improved rigidity as to allow the incidence of false contacts to be reduced.
