A left front camera () is adapted to be mounted on a left front lamp (LF) of a vehicle to obtain external information of at least ahead of the vehicle. A right front LiDAR sensor (), a type of which is different from the camera (), is adapted to be mounted on a right front lamp (RF) of the vehicle to obtain external information of at least ahead of the vehicle.

Sensor system

A LiDAR sensor () is configured to sense information of an outside of a vehicle. An ultrasonic sensor () is configured to sense information of the outside of the vehicle in a different manner from the LiDAR sensor (). A first bracket () supports the LiDAR sensor () and the ultrasonic sensor (). A first sensor actuator () is configured to adjust a sensing reference position of the LiDAR sensor () relative to the first bracket (). A second sensor actuator () is configured to adjust a sensing reference position of the ultrasonic sensor () relative to first bracket (). A first bracket actuator () is configured to adjust at least one of a position and a posture of the first bracket () relative to the vehicle.

Sensor system, sensor module, and lamp device

A translucent cover () defines a lamp chamber () together with a housing () while forming a portion of an outer face of a vehicle. A LiDAR sensor () is disposed in the lamp chamber () to detect external information of the vehicle. A half mirror () is disposed in the lamp chamber () so as to cover the LiDAR sensor () from a side where the translucent cover () is disposed. The translucent cover () has a first transparency to visible light. The half mirror () has a second transparency to the visible light that is lower than the first transparency.

Lamp device, sensor system, and sensor device

A lamp housing () houses a light source (). A front sensor housing () houses a front LiDAR sensor (). A supporting unit () supports the lamp housing () and the front sensor housing (). The lamp housing () and the front sensor housing () are arranged in a direction corresponding to a left-right direction of a vehicle, when viewed from a direction corresponding to a front-rear direction of the vehicle. A maximum dimension (UD) of the lamp housing () in an up-down direction of the vehicle is smaller than a maximum dimension (UD) of the front sensor housing () in the same direction.

Lamp device

A light source () is configured to emit light for lighting a predetermined area. A LiDAR sensor () is configured to sense information of an outside of a vehicle. A first screw mechanism () is configured to adjust posture of the light source (). A second screw mechanism () is configured to adjust posture of the LiDAR sensor (). Adjustment by one of the first screw mechanism () and the second screw mechanism () is performed on the basis of adjustment that has been performed by the other one of the first screw mechanism () and the second screw mechanism ().

Lighting system and sensor system

A front module () is disposed in a front portion of a vehicle (). An upper module () is disposed on a ceiling surface () of the vehicle (). The front module () includes a front light source () and a front sensor (). The upper module () includes an upper light source () and an upper sensor ().

Lighting system

A vehicle lamp includes a projection lens, a first light source disposed behind the projection lens and configured to emit light forming a low-beam light distribution pattern which is a predetermined light distribution pattern, a reflector configured to reflect light emitted from the first light source toward a first rear focal point of the projection lens, and a second array light source disposed behind the projection lens and having a plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements arranged in at least one row. The second array light source is configured to emit light forming an additional light distribution pattern, and the center position or maximum light intensity position of the additional light distribution pattern overlaps with the low-beam light distribution pattern on a virtual vertical screen in front of the lamp.

Vehicle lamp

There is provided a vehicle lamp including a projection lens, a first light source arranged at a rear of the projection lens and configured to emit light for forming a predetermined light distribution pattern, a reflector configured to reflect the light emitted from the first light source towards the projection lens, a first array light source arranged at the rear of the projection lens and including a plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements aligned in at least one row, and a second array light source arranged at the rear of the projection lens and including a plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements aligned in at least one row. The first array light source and the second array light source are arranged in an upper-lower direction.

An illumination device to be mounted on a vehicle, includes a light source; a sensor configured to acquire information outside the vehicle based on invisible light; and a cover including a first portion covering the light source and a second portion covering the sensor. The second portion has a lower visible light transmittance than the first portion.

Illumination device

Provided is a vehicle lamp unit which includes an optical system configured to form a light distribution pattern ahead of a vehicle; and a rotary light shielding member configured to block at least a part of light of a light source. The rotary light shielding member includes a spiral light shielding portion formed to change a blocked quantity of light of the light source as the rotary light shielding member rotates around a rotating axis. The light shielding portion is configured to form a plurality of light distribution patterns such that a position of a cutoff line extending in a direction crossing a horizontal direction changes in the horizontal direction. Further, the light shielding portion is configured such that a change of a position of an edge portion projected as a cutoff line becomes nonlinear in relation to a change of a rotational position of the rotary light shielding member.

Vehicle lamp unit and rotary light shielding member

An illumination device to be mounted on a vehicle includes a light source, an optical member, a holder, a first reflector, a first shade, a driving source, a power feeding member, a second reflector, a second shade, and a third shade. The second reflector is disposed between the optical member and the first shade and configured to reflect a part of the light reflected by the first reflector toward the optical member. The second shade is disposed between the optical member and the first shade so as to block a part of the light which is not blocked by the first shade. The third shade disposed to block sunlight which passes through the optical member and reaches at least one of the holder and the power feeding member. The second reflector, the second shade and the third shade are parts of one-piece component formed of the same material.

At least a part of light emitted from a light source passes through a projection lens. A rotary shade is disposed at the rear side of the projection lens to block a part of the light emitted from the light source. The rotary shade includes a twist end surface. A swivel actuator changes an optical axis direction of the projection lens. A shade driving mechanism rotates the rotary shade around the rotary axis. A first information acquisition unit acquires first information on a rudder angle of the vehicle. A second information acquisition unit acquires second information on the front area of the vehicle. A first control unit controls the swivel actuator to determine the optical axis direction based on the first information. A second control unit controls the shade driving mechanism to determine the position of the twist end surface based on the second information.

Light distribution control system

A rotary shade is disposed behind a projection lens to block a portion of light emitted from a light source. The rotary shade has a twisted end surface to form an edge projected as a peripheral edge of a light distribution pattern which changes position in relation to the rotation of the shade. The twisted end surface is arranged so that the closer the twisted end surface is to the projection lens the more the twisted end surface approaches the optical axis. The twisted end surface moves from the front to the back of a rear focal point in relation to the rotation of the rotary shade in the direction in which the illumination area of the light distribution pattern increases.

Lamp unit

A vehicle headlamp is provided with a projection lens, a light source, a reflector, a first shade, and a second shade. The first shade includes an upper end crossing in a vicinity of a rear side focal point of the projection lens. The first shade shields a part of the light emitted from the light source and reflected by the reflector to form a first light distribution pattern. The second shade includes a light shielding portion for shielding a part of the light emitted from the light source and reflected by the reflector to form a second light distribution pattern. The second shade is movable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the second shade is positioned above the first shade and is separated from the first shade so that the first light distribution pattern is formed. In the second position, the second shade covers the upper end of the first shade so that the second light distribution pattern is formed.
