Systems and methods for displaying art in a manner which resists tipping from external forces while preserving artistic impression are disclosed. An art piece includes an inner core extending from a bottom of a display portion and an outer stabilizing core formed about the inner core. A base includes a recess located within a housing. The recess is configured to snugly receive the stabilizing core. A number of illumination devices are located within the recess and electrically connected to a power supply for illuminating the art piece. In some embodiments, holes may be formed in the base for fastening the base to a surface.

An item of jewelry includes a first and second glass component. The first component includes a base layer with cremains deposited on a front surface. The second component is the same size and shape as the first component so that its outer edges align with those of the first component. The second component includes an image of a print placed on a substrate. The first component is placed on, and annealed to, the second component such that the cremains are sandwiched between the base layer and the substrate to form a durable image of the print on glass.

A cremation container may comprise a cover and a base. The base may comprise a corrugated fiberboard portion and a frame. The corrugated fiberboard portion may encase the frame and may form a bottom of the base. Consequently, the base may be provided with a combined structural strength of both the frame and corrugated fiberboard portion.

A trombone hand grip device comprising a bushing securable about the intersection of a trombone's first brace and slide tube with a hand grip removably attachable to the bushing. The bushing being comprised of two shells hingedly connected to each other. The hand grip includes a clamp that is adapted for removable attachment to the bushing and a hand receiver fastened to the clamp. The hand grip includes a flexible strap attached to the hand receiver for wrapping around a player's hand. The hand receiver includes a plurality of mounting holes through which the hand receiver is mounted to the clamp. The position of the hand grip is adjustable longitudinally along the direction of the trombone slide by selecting one of the mounting holes. The hand receiver includes radial arrays of rotational adjustment holes associated with each of the mounting holes, whereby the grip may be rotationally adjusted.

A protective casing is made from a resiliently stretchable material, such as neoprene rubber or the like, and is adapted to retain an article based on the stretchability of the constituent material. In use, a portion of the casing is inverted, or turned inside out, utilizing the resiliency of the material used, so as to permit an article to be inserted into or taken from the casing. To &ldquo;close&rdquo; the casing, the previously inverted portion of the casing is stretchingly reinverted, particularly so as to retainingly cover an end portion of the article protruding from the casing.

A separable zipper pull tab comprises a hook piece and a zipper pull tab body having an adhesive element or a shear pin. The hook piece has a connecting arm that is secured to a connecting arch of a slider and the zipper pull tab body includes a receiving cavity which receives a portion of the hook piece. The zipper pull tab body and the hook piece are frangibly secured by an adhesive element whereby the zipper pull tab body may be separated from the hook piece upon application of a force sufficient to overcome the adhesive element.

A belt clasp has a supporting body with a top portion, back side, and an inner perimeter defining a slot. A clasping arm is flexibly attached to the top portion of the supporting body and extends into the slot area. Two extensions extend from the back supporting side, each defining an engaging groove. A locking unit is provided with a locking portion and an engaging rod, which pivotally engages the grooves. The locking portion is shaped to prevent the clasping arm from opening in the locked position, and in the unlocked position, the clasping arm may be opened and the belt removed from the belt clasp.

A shock absorbing carrying strap for easing the ability to support loads. The strap includes two webbing sections, each of which includes an outer end and a connecting section to permit attachment to loads. The two webbing sections are also connected to a central elastic portion. That central elastic portion includes an outer envelope of elastic material which encloses an elastic strip connected to and between the two webbing sections. The outer envelope is secured to the elastic strip, and preferably to the webbing adjacent the elastic strip, so that the outer envelope and elastic strip form a composite member. The outer envelope is finished by binding the marginal edge and by applying a finishing cover over each end and where each webbing section extends from the central portion by a variety of techniques.

At least one movably mounted tongue and an opposing member are associated with the mouth. The movably mounted tongue is constructed and arranged to move between a first normally biased cartridge retaining position wherein a forward-most cartridge is retained in the mouth by the tongue and the opposing member and a second cartridge loading position wherein the movably mounted tongue is moved linearly away from the mouth as a new cartridge is inserted thereinto. The tongue thereafter returns to the first cartridge retaining position.

This invention utilizes a conventional type cartridge orienting device for orienting cartridges with their longitudinal axes aligned generally parallel with one another. The present invention includes a hollow receptacle having a cartridge accepting device. This accepting device includes a stop wall to allow only one oriented cartridge to drop into the accepting device at a time. A rotatable cam is provided within the accepting device. Upon rotation of the rotatable cam, cartridges are grasped and moved away from the accepting device and transported by the rotatable cam upon further rotation thereof to the receiving end of a conventional magazine. The cartridge is then forced into the magazine when the rotatable cam is further rotated.
