An aerosol source for an electronic vapor provision system includes a heating element; an atomizing chamber; a reservoir for holding free-flowing source liquid; and a porous wick extending from the atomizing chamber to the reservoir and comprising a heater portion in cooperation with the heating element within the atomizing chamber and at least one liquid collecting portion within the reservoir, the liquid collecting portion having a maximum cross-sectional parameter that is greater than an equivalent cross-sectional parameter of the heater portion.

Aerosol source for a vapor provision system

A method of manufacturing wick material for use as a liquid transport element in a vapor provision system, the method including providing at least one cotton thread; and twisting the at least one cotton thread to form the wick material, wherein the wick material diameter is controlled to meet a target diameter within a tolerance of +5%/−2.5% of the target diameter.

Vapor provision systems

An aerosol provision cartridge () for an aerosol provision system (). The cartridge () comprises a refillable chamber () for aerosol precursor material, the chamber () comprising a first opening () and a second opening (), each opening () allowing for access into the chamber (). Each opening () is covered by a respective cap () which is configured to be uncoupled from the chamber () for allowing access to the opening (). The cartridge () is configured such that each cap (), when coupled to the chamber (), requires at least two different actions (A;A) to be uncoupled from the chamber (). The first or second action (A;A) may each include, but are not limited, to: rotating; pulling; pushing; or unlatching.

Aerosol provision system

A cartridge for a vapor provision system including the cartridge and a control unit, wherein the cartridge includes a housing part having a mouthpiece end and an interface end, wherein the mouthpiece end includes a vapor outlet for the cartridge and the interface end includes an interface for coupling the cartridge to a control unit; an air channel extending from an air inlet in the housing part to the vapor outlet; a reservoir within the housing part containing liquid for vaporization, wherein an end of the reservoir at the interface end of the housing part is sealed by a resilient plug, wherein the reservoir includes a dividing wall between a first reservoir region on a side of the dividing wall facing the mouth piece end of the housing part and a second reservoir region on a side of the dividing wall facing the interface end of the housing part, wherein the dividing wall includes at least one fluid communication opening to provide fluid communication between the first reservoir region and the second reservoir region; and a liquid transport element arranged to transport liquid from the second region of the reservoir to a vaporizer for generating vapor in a vapor generation region for user inhalation.

Vapor provision cartridge and system

The disclosure relates to a vaporizer assembly for use in a vapor provision system, wherein the vaporizer assembly includes a liquid transport element formed from cotton; and a heating element comprising a coil of resistive wire around a portion of the liquid transport element, wherein the heating element has an electrical resistance of between 1.3 ohms and 1.5 ohms.
