A preferred fenestration assembly includes a roll screen and a guide body presenting channels for receiving the respective side edges of the screen. During movement of the screen toward the closed position, the side edges are gripped between a shiftable gripper and gripping surfaces of the guide body. The gripping components are configured to release the side edges if excessive force is applied to the screen to prevent damage while retaining the side edges with a minimum level of force to withstand wind loading.

In principal aspect, a double glazing panel gasket includes a compressible central gasket portion and a fin portion. The central gasket portion provides a moisture-tight seal between a double glazing panel frame and a sash glazing stop, under compression. The fin portion simultaneously applies pressure against the panel, in response to the compression, to provide a moisture-tight seal between the panel and the stop.

A casement window is operable in a vent-egress mode and a wash mode. Hinge assemblies are mounted to the sash and hinge lock assemblies are engaged by the hinge assemblies. Both hinge and hinge lock assemblies are slidably mounted to channel-forming slides on the window frame. The lock assemblies releasably lock the sash in the vent-egress and wash modes.
