A modified beverage fill valve cam assembly and related methods are disclosed, which provide for a quick, inexpensive, and effective solution to fill valve cam rotational eccentricity. A supplemental support is provided for the camming end of the cam which eliminates sole reliance on cantilevered support and prevents eccentric cam rotation. The supplement support comprises an end plate having an interior cone-shaped projection with contiguous mates with corresponding cone-shaped recess formed in the end edge of the camming end of the cam.

A pre-fill snift cam assembly and related methods are disclosed. The pre-fill snift cam assembly accommodates pre-fill evacuation of air from cans and bottles being processed by automatic filling equipment and causes the egress air from the containers (cans and bottles) to be discharged in a fashion other than from the fill valves into the beverage bowl, i.e., into the atmosphere.

A novel device and related methods which provide manually adjustable standards and controls for quality inspection systems for filling and sealing equipment. The device provides an adjustable product height simulator which is used to calibrate and quality assurance test the performance of quality inspection systems on a filling and sealing line. The height simulation level is detectable without changing sensitivity of the quality inspection system's product level sensor. The device is readjustable for a plurality of uses, rugged for repeated multiple use, and does not degrade over time. Base and top (capping) characteristics provide further adjustable simulation comprising entrapped gas phase between the product and container cap, missing caps, and simulated container forms.

Multi-use fill height test devices

The present application discloses an invention which addresses and resolves long standing lid size reduction problems in the beverage-canning industry and comprises diametrally reduced adapter nozzles, and related methods, used as replacements only for the nonaccommodating distal discharge nozzle structure of a commercially existing fill valve, which is preferably removed by conventional machining techniques. The adapter nozzles preferably comprise a single die cast stainless steel article. Each adapter nozzle is fastened to the nonremoved portion or remainder of the fill valve in sealed relation and comprises a plurality of angularly disposed beverage flow passageways which selectively converts beverage flow from several streams issuing from the remainder of the existing fill valve into three broard, although thin streams and discharges the three beverage streams angularly against the top region of the interior surface of the side wall of the can having reduced size lid opening so that foaming, if any, is within tolerable limits. Each adapter nozzle also comprises a passageway by pressurized gas is selectively delivered to and evacuated from the interior of the can.

Exchangeable key covers, and a related system and method, each key cover at least partially enclosing the proximal end of a hotel or like key, each cover being preferably formed of synthetic resinous material, such as polyethylene, and removably force-fit over the proximal end of the key to display room identification indicia and, if desired, other indicia, whereby no key interconnecting chains, tags or the like are required and the key covers are easily and accurately exchanged between keys in correspondence with rotation of the locks.
