Long distance country codes that are used by a group of users are updated by automatically sending an electronic message to the group of users that includes at least one new or changed long distance country code, in response to automatically obtaining a listing of long distance country codes from an International Telecommunication Union (ITU) website. More specifically, a listing of long distance country codes is automatically obtained from the ITU website. The listing of long distance country codes that is obtained from the ITU website is automatically compared to preexisting long distance country codes that are used by the group of users, to identify at least one new or changed long distance country code. An electronic message, such as an email message, is automatically sent to the group of users that includes the at least one new or changed long distance country code that was identified.

Methods, systems and computer program products for automatically updating long distance country codes

A method of providing documentation from a source of telecommunications documentation. The method includes receiving a list of telecommunications work items and creating a report based on the list of work items, wherein the report includes a link to a source of telecommunications documentation associated with a work item on the list. The method also includes providing the report to a user and retrieving the documentation from the source of telecommunications documentation when the user selects the link.

Systems and methods for facilitating information retrieval in a telecommunications environment

An apparatus, method, and computer readable medium for automatically notifying a network administrator of a mismatch between a current software version level in a telecommunications switch and a corresponding entry in a database. The apparatus includes a computer for querying the telecommunications switch for the current software version level of the switch and for querying the database, wherein the database is associated with a switch translation system and the database includes an entry associated with the software version level of the switch. The computer compares the current software version level of the switch with the database entry associated with the software version level of the switch. The method and the computer readable medium include establishing communication between a host computer and a telecommunications switch; querying the switch for the current software version level of the switch; establishing communications between the host computer and a switch translation system; querying a database associated with the switch translation system for a corresponding entry in the database associated with the software version level of the switch; storing the current software version level of the switch in a data store associated with the host computer; and storing the database entry in a data store associated with the host computer.

MTS-switch generic verification
