A container for aerial delivery of a payload is comprised of a box, a lid adapted to close the box, a harness adapted to support the box and lid, a parachute coupled to the harness, and a plurality of inflatable tubes placed within the box and surrounding the payload. The plurality of inflatable tubes adapted to cushion the payload. The parachute has at least one slit adapted to control the descent of the system.

Container for aerial delivery

An aerial distribution system and method for deploying items is disclosed. The system includes a box, a lid detachably coupled to the box, a plurality of items within the box, a flexible liner coupled to the box and containing the plurality of items, and at least one strap coupling the lid to the flexible liner. During deployment of the aerial distribution system, air drag removes the lid from the box and inverts the flexible liner to eject the plurality of items from the box.

Methods and systems for mass distribution of supply packs

A cost-effective pack adapted to be distributed from an aircraft in the event of a natural, military, political, or other disaster includes an outer package, at least one item in the outer package for aerial delivery, and at least one aerodynamic component formed on the outer package and methods and systems for making the pack.

Supply packs and methods and systems for manufacturing supply packs

A cost-effective system and method of sealing that may be a pack adapted to be distributed from an aircraft in the event of a natural, military, political, or other disaster is described herein. The system comprises a conveyor belt and a sealing mechanism positioned above the conveyor belt. The sealing mechanism is comprised of a motor, a drive shaft rotated by the motor, an eccentric hub coupled to the drive shaft, a drive link coupled to the eccentric hub and adapted to translate rotational motion into liner motion, a pivot arm coupled to the drive link, and a sealing bar coupled to the pivot arm and adapted to seal the packages as the packages pass under the sealing mechanism.

Device for sealing packages

A take-out and cooling method and apparatus conveys molded plastic articles from a molding machine to and through a cooling station and preferably includes a take-out apparatus that has a main support, a conveyor carried by the main support for movement in an endless path, a cam adjacent to the support, a plurality of arms carried by the conveyor for movement with the conveyor along the endless path and including a follower responsive to the contour of the cam to vary the position of the arms relative to the support, and at least one holder carried by each arm. Each holder is adapted to receive and carry at least one molded article to facilitate in conveying the molded articles and is flexible and resilient to permit relative movement of at least a portion of the holder relative to its associated arm.

Take out and cooling system and method

A hot fill apparatus for use in the testing of hollow thermoplastic containers, the apparatus having a reverse osmosis filter system, a heater system and a fill head system. The reverse osmosis filter system removes chlorine and other particulates and contaminants from the water prior to the water entering the heater system. The heater system is designed to maintain strict temperature control of the water while maintaining a steady flow rate and pressure. The fill head system includes a manually operated spigot and an automatically operated fill head, the operations of which are mutually exclusive.

Hot fill apparatus and process therefor

A process for crystallizing a thermoplastic preform or container which utilizes a preheated plug to provide the sole upright support for a workpiece in the crystallizing process. The preheated plug aids in the crystallization process by applying heat to the interior surface of the finish area while heat is also applied to the exterior surface of the finish area to crystallize the finish area. The thermoplastic preform or container is then cooled and removed from the plug.

Crystallizing process

A machine for crystallizing a thermoplastic preform or container is constructed from modular subassemblies and utilizes a preheated plug to provide the sole upright support for a workpiece in the crystallizing process. The first modular subassembly includes the workpiece in-feed and plug preheat structures and incorporates the drive apparatus for the entire machine. The opposed end of the crystallizing machine is constructed of a subassembly which operates to provide the turnaround and tensioning takeup for the carrier mechanism transporting the workpieces. Positioned between the first subassembly and the opposed end subassembly are heating and cooling processing modules which can be provided in any number depending on the size constraints and workpiece quantity restraints desired. The processing modules provide the heating and crystallizing processes for the desired area of the workpiece and the cooling process of the workpiece prior to unloading.

Crystallizing machine

A tube handling machine for loading and unloading tube workpieces, such as hoses, from mandrels is disclosed. The machine includes a mandrel support which mounts a plurality of mandrels. First and second pluralities of driven rollers have outer surfaces for engaging the tube workpieces for urging them along the mandrels. A pivotal magazine holds a supply of tubular workpieces and directs them to the rollers. In a preferred embodiment, a mandrel support includes a gripper for engaging a predetermined mandrel support and moving it toward a position where the mandrels are between the first and second pluralities of driven rollers.
