Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for a handover to dual connectivity. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a terminal device receives, from a source network device, a connection reconfiguration message comprising configurations about a target master network device and a target secondary network device to be connected with the terminal device. The terminal device performs parallel random access to the target master network device and the target secondary network device. If the terminal device successfully connects to the target secondary network device but fails to connect to the target master network device, the terminal device will reconnect to the target master network device. In addition, the target secondary network device will indicate to the target master network device a result of the random access. As such, the solution can increase the success rate of the handover to dual connectivity.

Handover to dual connectivity

Certain examples of the present invention relate to carrier management in a wireless communication network. Certain examples provide a User Equipment, UE, comprising: means for receiving, following a maximum permissible exposure, MPE, event occurring during operation over a first carrier such that the UE is no longer operating over the first carrier, a first signal, over a second carrier, for configuring the UE to determine a status of the MPE event associated with the previously used first carrier; means for determining, responsive to receipt of the first signal, a current status of the MPE event associated with the previously used first carrier; and means for transmitting, responsive to receipt of the first signal, a second signal over the second carrier, wherein the second signal comprises an indication of the current status of the MPE event associated with the previously used first carrier.

Carrier management in a wireless communication network

An apparatus may be configured to: receive, from a network, an indication of one or more sets of ports, wherein the one or more sets of ports are grouped; receive, from the network, at least one parameter for port interference detection, wherein the at least one parameter for port interference detection comprises at least one of: a scrambled cyclic redundancy code, a number of interfered ports, a set index for a set of at least one of the one or more sets of ports, or an indication of a selected set of the one or more sets of ports; and determine the set of at least one of the one or more sets of ports based, at least partially, on the at least one parameter for port interference detection.

Efficient signaling for MU-MIMO enhanced receivers

Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for enhanced beam switching. A method may include informing a network element about a user equipment type and capability in beam switching from a source beam to a target beam. The method may further include receiving a request from the network element to switch from the source beam to the target beam. The method may also include based on the user equipment type and capability, receiving a reference signal for timing adjustment with the target beam. In addition, the method may include switching from the source beam to the target beam. Further, the method may include adjusting the time or frequency tracking of the target beam after the switching based the reference signal.

Enhanced beam switching

Various communication systems may benefit from the appropriate aggregation of multiple radio access technologies. For example, certain communication systems may benefit from optimized signaling for wireless local area network and third generation partnership projection aggregation. A method can include determining, by a network element, which parameters according to a first standard are also applicable according to a second standard for aggregation and/or interworking. The method can also include indicating the determined parameters to a user equipment.

Optimized signaling for WLAN/3GPP aggregation

According to an example embodiment, a method may include receiving, by a user equipment from a serving base station associated with a source cell, a reconfiguration message that includes a target cell configuration for a target cell, a configuration of a conditional handover execution condition, and information that indicates that the user equipment should immediately decode and apply the target cell configuration upon receiving the reconfiguration message; and immediately decoding and applying, by the user equipment, the target cell configuration upon receiving the reconfiguration message, without waiting for the conditional handover execution condition to be fulfilled.

The method may also include sending a radio resource control reconfiguration complete message in response to the radio resource control reconfiguration message. The method may further include performing radio resource management measurements according to information contained in the radio resource control reconfiguration message. In addition, the method may include preparing a measurement report based on the radio resource management measurements. Further, the method may include sending the measurement report to the network node. The method may also include maintaining a spatial relation with a cell or a carrier that is identified in the measurement report, as indicated in the radio resource control reconfiguration message.

Beam tracking for reduced latency

There is provided a method comprising, at a user equipment operating in connection with a first radio access technology network and a second radio access technology network, determining that communication using the second radio access technology is to be suspended and in response to the determining, suspending communication using the second radio access technology and storing a configuration relating to the second radio access technology such that communication using the second radio access technology can be reactivated via at least one of the first radio access technology network and the second radio access technology network.

Apparatus can receive information on limitation(s) of BWP(s) supported in a cell of the base station and inhibit a terminal from accessing the cell based on limitation(s) of the BWP(s) supported in the cell and limitation(s) of BWP(s) supported by the terminal. Apparatus can select access parameter(s) based on limitation(s) of the BWP(s) supported in the cell and limitation(s) of the BWP(s) supported by the terminal, and instruct the terminal to reselect/camp on the cell using the access parameter(s).
