There is provided a process for the prevention or reduction of surge wave instabilities during the transport in a flowline of a three phase gas condensate comprising a gas phase, an aqueous phase and a condensate phase, characterized in that a dispersing agent is added to the three phase gas condensate which is able to disperse the aqueous phase in the condensate phase or the condensate phase in the aqueous phase, and a means for the prevention or reduction of surge wave instabilities during the transportation of a three phase gas condensate.

An apparatus for tracer based flow measurement may include a tracer chamber for installation in and/or on a production tubing, wherein the tracer chamber is for holding tracer and is arranged to be linked, in use, to the pressure in an annulus about the production tubing. The tracer chamber may include an outlet for fluid communication between the tracer chamber and the fluid within the production tubing, whereby tracer is released from the tracer chamber into the production tubing in accordance with a pressure differential between the annulus and the production tubing.

Tracer based flow measurement

In a method of condensing an unprocessed well stream from an offshore gas or gas condensate field the well stream taken from one or more wellheads is cooled and directly expanded, isentropically, or near isentropically, to a state in which the pressure is close to that of a storage tank. Part of the well stream is condensed and condensed fractions thereof is drawn off the expander and fed to the storage tank along with condensation products from the exit of the expander. Hence, without any preprocessing, a condensed well stream product is produced which comprises a mixture of liquids and solids which is collected in the storage tank for transport therefrom to land. A system for carrying out the method is also disclosed. The invention makes the condensation of an unprocessed well stream possible without any preprocessing thereof, such as extraction of solid particles, e.g. sands, removal of water, cleaning or drying. Thus, by means of the invention smaller gas or gas condensate fields can be developed in a more cost efficient way.

Method and system for condensation of unprocessed well stream from offshore gas or gas condensate field

The present invention relates to a method for measurement of total phase volumes in multiphase flow in pipelines. The multiphase fractions comprise hydrocarbon liquid phase and/or water phase and/or transported solid phases. One or more tracers are injected into the pipeline, preferably at the inlet and the tracer concentration(s) are measured as a function of time at the point of injection and at one or more points of measurements downstream from the point of injection. Further, the mean residence time(s) are measured for transport of the injected tracer(s) from the point of injection to said one or more point(s) measurements. The liquid phase volume(s) are calculated based on the amount of injected tracers and the measured tracer concentrations in each phase and the mean residence time.
