An apparatus for providing access to social content may include at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code. The at least one memory and the computer program code may be configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least receiving information providing corresponding identities of a plurality of members of a group, receiving an indication of group content including at least one content item stored in association with the group, and enabling access to the group content by the members based on presence information related to the members indicating that a presence threshold associated with the group content is met. A corresponding method and computer program product are also provided.

Method and apparatus for providing access to social content

A portable diagnostic apparatus is brought proximal to a device to be diagnosed. While the device to be diagnosed is operating, a radiofrequency interference signal emitted by the device is received at the portable apparatus and a data representation of it is stored. The data representation is submitted for matching to a diagnostic signal pattern stored in a database of predetermined signal patterns. From the matching is identified and output an indication of a fault in the device to be diagnosed. In one embodiment the submitting is to the database stored in the portable apparatus itself, and in another embodiment the submitting is outputting (data cable, wireless link) the stored data representation to a diagnostic computer such as a personal computer, a peer device, or a remote diagnostic center. The RF interference signal may be one stream and the portable apparatus receives at least a second stream and both streams are used for the matching.

Electromagnetic interference sensor device and method and computer program

A lightning detector for lightning detection and a lightning detection method, wherein the lightning detector uses at least two separate channels or frequency bands for lightning detection, and wherein the lightning detector is a mobile RF device provided with radio interfaces for at least two communication channels or frequency bands, whereby at least one of which is normally a telecom channel/frequency range and wherein these channels/ranges are used in lightning detection.

Detection of lightning

The invention relates to a detection of a simultaneous occurrence of an event of a predetermined kind at a plurality of electronic devices. At least two devices detect the event and record at their end the time elapsing after this detection. Then, a communication channel is established between the devices. Once the communication channel has been established, an indication of the recorded elapsed times can be exchanged. At least one of the devices compares a recorded elapsed time with an indicated elapsed time received from another device. If both elapsed times are similar to each other, it can be assumed that the event occurred simultaneously at both devices. The invention relates equally to corresponding devices, to a corresponding data transfer system and to corresponding software program products.

Detection of a simultaneous occurrence of an event at a plurality of devices

Altimeters correct themselves by analyzing pressure data to identify underlying climatic changes and modify sensed pressures accordingly to provide corrected altitude values. The detected underlying climatic changes are used to provide a barometer function independent of altitude changes. Air pressure measured at a plurality of times is stored to provide historical pressure data. A reference pressure is modified in dependence on historical data to produce a modified reference pressure. An altitude value is obtained from the current air pressure value and the modified reference pressure and stored.

Altimeters correct themselves by analysing pressure data to identify underlying climatic changes and modify sensed pressures accordingly to provide corrected altitude values. The detected underlying climatic changes are used to provide a barometer function independent of altitude changes. The climatic changes can be tropical or temperate. Various locations can be stored in the altimeter. A plot of the modified pressures can be displayed.

The invention relates to a mobile radio-frequency enabled device. In order to enable a lightning detection by means of such a device, it comprises an electromagnetic interferences detection component detecting electromagnetic interferences in at least one radio-frequency channel, which at least one radio-frequency channel is usable by the mobile radio-frequency enabled device for a communication link. A smoke detection device for use in a portable device such as a mobile terminal. The smoke detection device comprises a light emitter and a light detector disposed on different locations on the portable device so that when smoke or an intruding object is presence in the light path of the light emitter outside the device housing, it causes the light emitted by the light emitter to be scattered or reflected. When the light detector senses the scattered or reflected light, it can cause an alarm signal to be produced by the portable device. The emitted light can be in the infrared region so that the detection is independent of the ambient light. Alternatively, the light emitter is operated in a pulsed mode. Additional light emitter and light detectors can be disposed on the portable device for proximity sensing in addition to smoke detection.

Lightning detection

A method and system for preventing unintended touch pad input resulting from accidental touching of a touch pad device in an electronic device. A user can execute one or more touch pad functions by touching the touch pad device. The electronic device includes a key lock function to put the electronic device in a locked state such that only a limited number of selected input functions are available when the electronic device is in the locked state. When touch pad device is touched, a software program is used to determine whether the electronic device is the locked state and whether the touch function is one of the selected input functions in order to carry out or to block the touch pad function.

Method for preventing unintended touch pad input due to accidental touching

An integrated light guide for use in an electronic device having a plurality of key buttons to allow a user to input signals in the device, the light guide having a plurality of domes used as touch areas of the key buttons and a plurality of light escapement areas disposed at the domes. When coupled to a light source, a portion of the light received by the light guide from the light source escapes from the light escapement areas to illuminate the key buttons. Preferably, each dome has one or more electrically conducting patches provided under the dome such that when a touch area is pushed by the user, these patches are caused to interact with an electronic circuit placed under the light guide for activating a key.
