A shisha device () comprises an aerosol-generating element () for receiving an aerosol-forming substrate (). The shisha device also comprises a vessel () spaced from the aerosol-generating element and defining an interior for housing a volume of liquid. The vessel comprises a head space outlet (). The shisha device also comprises an aerosol conduit () positioned between the aerosol-generating element and the interior of the vessel. The aerosol conduit comprises a proximal end portion defining a proximal opening () positioned to receive airflow from the aerosol-generating element, a distal end portion defining a distal opening () positioned in the interior of the vessel, and a ventilation opening () positioned between the proximal and distal end portions. A ratio between the total aperture area of the ventilation opening and a transverse cross-sectional area of the aerosol conduit positioned proximate to the ventilation opening is at most 1:1000. Applying a negative pressure at the head space outlet causes airflow through the aerosol conduit from the proximal opening to the distal opening and causes airflow through the aerosol conduit from the ventilation opening to the distal opening.

Ventilation for shisha device

A shisha device article includes a vessel and an aerosol-generating element. The vessel defines an interior configured to contain a volume of liquid. The vessel also includes a head space outlet. The aerosol-generating element is in fluid connection with the vessel. The aerosol-generating element includes (i) a cartridge receptacle for receiving a cartridge containing an aerosol-generating substrate; (ii) a heating element defining at least two surfaces of the cartridge receptacle; and (iii) an aerosol outlet in fluid connection with the cartridge receptacle and a fresh air inlet channel in fluid connection with the cartridge receptacle. The fresh air inlet channel is arranged to preheat air prior to the air entering the cartridge receptacle.

Shisha device with air preheat without combustion

A shisha consumable cartridge includes a housing having an exterior surface sized and shaped for operable insertion into a shisha device. The cartridge further includes a first chamber in the housing; a first aerosol-generating substrate in the first chamber; a second chamber in the housing and adjacent to the first chamber. A second aerosol-generating substrate in the second chamber. The compositions of the first aerosol-generating substrate and the second aerosol-generating substrate may be the same or different. The first chamber defines a first fresh air inlet and an opposing first aerosol outlet, such that, in use, fresh air entering the first fresh air inlet carries aerosol generated from through the first aerosol outlet. The second chamber defines a second fresh air inlet and an opposing second aerosol outlet, such that, in use, fresh air entering the second fresh air inlet carries aerosol generated from through the second aerosol outlet.

A capsule for use in a brewing device is provided, comprising a body part, which defines a cavity and which has a flange, a lid which is attached to the flange and tea material enclosed within the capsule, characterized in that the shape of the flange is defined by two intersecting circular arcs when viewed from above. A brewing device which comprises a capsule holder for receiving the capsule is also provided, the capsule holder comprising a sidewall which is circular when viewed from above and which has an upper rim, a shelf on at least part of the inside of the sidewall, a filter and an openable and closable passage on the opposite side of the filter from the upper rim. A method of preparing a tea-based beverage in the brewing device using the capsule is also provided.

Capsule, method and device for brewing a beverage

A capsule for use in a brewing device is provided, the capsule having a body part, which defines a cavity, a lid which is attached to the body part and which closes the cavity, the lid having lines of weakness which define an opening region having an area of from 75 mmto 300 mm; and tea material enclosed within the cavity, wherein at least 75% by weight of the tea material particles have a size of from 2 to 10 mm. A method of preparing a tea-based beverage in a brewing device using the capsule is also provided.
