Razor handle

A linkage mechanism for a wet shaving razor is provided. The linkage mechanism is pivotally connected to and suspended from the handle at one end and pivotally and removably attached to the cartridge carrier at an opposite end allowing the cartridge carrier to pivot about a virtual pivot axis located below the shaving plane and into the skin. The linkage mechanism provides flexibility in positioning the virtual pivot axis since it is not limited to the physical constraints of the cartridge. As a result, the shaving razor cartridge has a flatter contact with the skin throughout the shaving stroke providing shaving comfort with reduced nicks and cuts.

Linkage mechanism for a razor

A safety razor including a handle having a grip portion and a connection portion secured to the grip portion. The connection portion rotates with respect to the grip portion about a rotational axis. A blade unit is mounted to the connection portion by a connection member. The handle includes an ejector button having a first position locking the connection portion with respect to the grip portion preventing the connection portion from rotating with respect to the grip portion, a second position allowing the connection portion to rotate with respect to the grip portion, and a third position for ejecting the blade unit from the connection portion.

A shaving blade assembly having a blade unit with at least one blade and a guard bar positioned in front of the blade. A cantilever guard is positioned in front of the blade unit defining a gap between the guard bar and the cantilever guard. The cantilever guard has a plurality of spaced apart fingers extending transverse to the blade. The fingers have a wedge shaped cross section in a direction transverse to the blades and are movable relative to the guard bar between a first position and a second position during a shaving stroke.

A safety razor includes a handle and a blade unit having at least one blade. The blade unit is connected to the handle for a pivotal movement relative thereto. One of the handle and the blade unit has a concave portion formed on its surface. A relative movement transfer member is formed between the handle and the blade unit for transferring a relative movement between the handle and the blade unit caused by the pivotal movement. A return force generating member is formed in the concave portion for generating a return force for the blade unit in response to the relative movement transfer member. The return force generating member includes a holding structure for holding a part of the relative movement transfer member, and an elastic member connected to the holding structure for generating the return force in response to the relative movement transfer member.

A personal care apparatus includes a handle housing a rechargeable battery and a plurality of operating heads such as a vibrating safety razor head and a hair trimming device exchangeably mountable on the handle for assembling different hand-held appliances for performing respective body treatments. A base is included for storing the components of the apparatus when not in use and forms a battery charging device with a socket into which the handle plugs for recharging the battery. The operating heads include electrical devices, in particular electric motors, powered by the battery.

Shaving apparatus including a drivable shaving unit for performing a first shaving action on a user's skin; a motor adapted to drive the shaving unit to perform the first shaving action; a blade having a razor-sharp cutting edge positioned for shaving engagement with the user's skin; and a guard surface provided in front of the razor-sharp blade. During use, the blade performs a second shaving action to cut hair while the drivable shaving unit performs the first shaving action. The first shaving unit may be rotary or linear and may have a static or moving skin-engaging cutter. Two razor-sharp blades may be provided, facing in opposite directions.

Shaving Razor cartridge

A electric razor foil assembly comprises flexible outer and inner foils () supported by a structure () that is deformable to permit the foils to flex to follow concave or convex curvatures. The support structure includes two suspension members () supporting the foils along the respective side edges, and each support member () has several support elements () interconnected by hinges () and in sliding cooperation with the foils. The deformation of the suspension members is guided by guide plates located adjacent the suspension members. The foils are urged into cooperation by spring members () and the inner foil () is reciprocated by a drive arrangement including a flexible drive plate () disposed between the spring members () and the inner foil ().

A shaving razor has a housing joined to a handle, one or more blades mounted in the housing and a light source. The light source projects a defined image indicating the exact location of a blade edge on the skin of a user enabling the user to properly align the blade edge on the skin during shaving.

Shaving razor

A safety razor blade unit mounted for pivotal movement relative to a razor handle about a pivot axis substantially perpendicular to a blade mounted in the blade unit. The blade unit is biased to a rest position by a magnetic return force generated by a set of magnetic elements. The set of magnetic elements are so disposed that the return force increases as the pivotal displacement of the blade unit from the rest position increases.

A hair trimming device is detachably mounted on a handle housing a battery for supplying electric current to a motor located in a drive unit of the trimming device. A trimmer unit includes a plurality of trimmer blade assemblies with different configurations and is rotatable on the drive unit for moving a selected one of the blade assemblies to the operative position in which it is coupled to be driven by the drive unit whilst the other blade assembly which is not in the operative position is uncoupled from the drive output of the drive unit.
