Example systems, computer readable medium and methods for automatically generating portrait videos from landscape videos include receiving a landscaped video, identifying one or more objects to track, and tracking the one or more objects by moving a cropping window. A user interface is presented that provides options for a user to automatically convert a landscape video into a portrait video. The options include selecting one or more objects in the landscape video to track and tracking based on a flight plan used to capture the video. The automatic tracking uses a hierarchy of a person for tracking where a face is used if the person is close, an upper body is used if the person is farther away, and a whole body is used if the person is even farther away. A hierarchy of a person includes indications of which parts of the hierarchy to exclude first.

Automatically cropping of landscape videos

Eyewear configured to control an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). In one example, a user interacts with the eyewear to generate control signals that are transmitted to the UAV to control the flight path, speed, orientation, and to communicate other instructions to the UAV. An input of the eyewear is controlled by the user to control the UAV, such as a touchpad, a microphone, a head movement tracker and a camera. The user is also able to configure and customize the eyewear to send specific control signals to the UAV as a function of user actions. This includes specific head movements and head gestures of the user as a method of controlling the UAV. This allows the user to control the UAV in a more natural and convenient way.

Example systems, computer readable medium and methods include receiving a video taken from a drone where the drone followed a flight path based on a flight plan. A user interface is presented that provides options for the user to select video editing effects to be performed on the video where the options are based on the flight plan or flight path that was used to take the video. Additionally, after the video effects are applied to the video, a user interface is presented to the user to further edit the video where the user interface is customized in accordance with the video effects used to modify the video. Moreover, the user is presented with options for adding AR effects to the video where 2D body tracking and segmentation are used adding the AR effects.

Editing video captured by electronic devices

Eyewear configured to capture a video image of an object, and to control an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to capture a video image of the object to produce stitched video images. The eyewear has an eyewear camera generating the eyewear video image, and the UAV has a UAV camera generating the UAV video image, wherein a processor timestamps frames of each of the video images. When the eyewear begins recording of the object, the eyewear controls the UAV camera to also begin recording the object. The stitched video images are synchronized to each other using the timestamps, wherein the stitched video images can be displayed on an eyewear display or a remote display. The processor compensates for any latency between when the eyewear begins recording and when the UAV begins recording.

A head-worn device system includes one or more cameras, one or more display devices and one or more processors. The system also includes a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the system to perform operations to initiate or join a joint visual computing session. The method may comprise receiving user input to initiate a joint session of a visual computing experience, monitoring for short-range data transmissions including data indicating the existence of a current session of the visual computing experience, and based on determining that a current session is in progress, providing a user input option to join the current session of the visual computing experience.

The system also includes a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the system to perform operations to initiate or join a joint visual computing session. The method may comprise receiving user input to initiate a joint session of a visual computing experience, monitoring for short-range data transmissions including data indicating the existence of a current session of the visual computing experience, and based on determining that a current session is in process, providing a user input option to join the current session of the visual computing experience.
