A fiber web is reeled by a reeling drum of a reel-up onto a parent roll. When the parent roll has reached the desired diameter size, reeling is changed from the parent roll onto a new parent roll. The web is cut by jet cutting means and the beginning part of the cut web is directed onto a reeling shaft of a new parent roll. The jet cutting path has a main cutting path and at least one edge area cutting path. The length of the main cutting path is at least 60% of the whole cutting path length from one edge of the web (W) to the other edge of the web (W). A turn-up device for a reel-up has one cutting module () and at least one nozzle () for jet cutting, which is attached movably and turnably to the module () by a cutting arm ().

Method in turn-up of reeling of fiber webs and a turn-up device for a reel-up of fiber webs

A movable support apparatus (), supported on a floor and movable between at least two target stations, for receiving, moving and handing over rolls, winding shafts () and/or machine reels () intended for the handling of a fiber web. The movable support apparatus () has support members () for holding up the load being handled () at both its support ends () and is adapted to be supported on a floor with at least one pressure medium cushion element (). A handling system includes the movable support apparatus (). Rolls, winding shafts () and/or machine reels () may be handled with the movable support apparatus (). The movable support apparatus may be used as a movable winding stand for the winding of a fiber web (W).

Support apparatus, handling system and method

The present invention relates to a reeling apparatus () for fiber web by which fiber web may be wound to successive reels (). The reeling apparatus has cutting devices () for cutting the web during a reel change, the cutting device being provided with at least one cutting head () disposed movable in a direction essentially transverse to the web direction to cut the web. A contactless web supporting arrangement () is been provided in operational connection with the cutting device to maintain the running of the web stable in a controlled manner during the cutting.

Reeling apparatus for fiber web and method of reeling fiber web

A method and a system to control a reeling profile of a material web reel (), when, in the forming of a material web reel (), a web is reeled around a reeling core and when in an adjustment of CD-directional profiles of the web reel, profiling devices () have been applied. For adjusting quality profiles and reeling profiles of the web, profiling devices are managed with the help of profile measurings of the roller nip and/or of the profile measurings of the reel (), which are obtained from the reel-up (). A measuring device () for a measuring of a CD-directional hardness profile of the fiber web reel includes a measuring head (), which is connected with a loading means (), which loads the measuring head against the fiber web reel. The motion course of the measuring head is linear.

Reeling method and system as well as an measuring apparatus

In a reel change in the reeling process of a fiber material web, the fiber material web (W) running to a reel that is becoming full is changed to run around a new reeling core () brought to a reel change position in such a way that the web is made to adhere onto the surface of the new reeling core (). The web (W) is made to adhere onto the surface of the reeling core () by a change in the properties of the material on the surface of the reeling core (). The material is a combination of an adhesive area () on the surface of the reeling core and a protective layer () on top of the adhesive area, and the properties of the material are changed by removing the protective layer ().

Method for changing a reel in a reeling process of a fiber material web and a reel change apparatus

A web is wound in a paper or board machine into machine reels, which are run on a slitter-winder to form customer rolls, whose desired diameter and width are determined according to customer need. A continuous-trimming running mode is used in which a desired amount of web is run into a machine reel and, when needed, splicing is performed on the slitter-winder to produce customer rolls with a desired diameter size. The machine reel diameter is determined based on restrictions set on the location of a splice in the customer roll and the amount of broke produced from the machine reel is optimized. Information about the customer rolls to be slit is obtained from a production control system for calculating/optimizing a machine reel diameter instruction for optimizing the diameter of the next machine reel, and the calculated/optimized machine reel diameter instruction is set in the control system of a reel-up.

Method for calculating and optimizing the diameter of a paper or board web reel based on customer splice location restrictions

Successive machine reels are reeled from a paper web (W) so the machine reel (R) that is becoming full is reeled in contact with a movable pressing device () at a second reeling nip (N) in a final stationary reeling station apart from a device () forming a first reeling nip (N). A new, empty reel spool () is taken to a transfer device () and the change is conducted when the reel spool is located in the transfer device (). The reel spool () with machine reel (R) is transferred after the change by the transfer device (), while in nip contact with the pressing device () away from the first nip contact (N) to the final reeling station, where the machine reel is reeled so that it becomes full, in nip contact (N) with the pressing device (), whereafter the transfer device returns to the change station.

Method in reeling and a reel-up

The invention relates to a method in sequential winding stations which are in a production line processing the web at successive stages. In the method the paper web issuing from a paper machine (PK) is reeled in a reel-up (KR) around a reel spool (T) to form a reel, the paper web is unwound in an unwind (AR) from the reel to the finishing machine (JK) for paper, and the paper web passed through the finishing machine (JK) for paper is reeled in a reel-up (KR) around a reel spool (T) to form a reel. At least the reel spools (T) used in the area between the reel-up (KR) of the paper machine (PK) and an unwind thereafter, have different dimensions, advantageously larger diameters, than the reel spools (T) used later in the production line.

Method in sequential winding stations and production line comprising sequential winding stations

A paper web reeled on a reeling core is affected to form a reel at least by means of the torque of a reeling cylinder and the nip load, wherein in connection with the reel change a new reeling core is brought in nip contact with the reeling cylinder above the reeling cylinder, together with a change device especially a so-called gooseneck. During the reel change an adhesive or the like is applied between the layers of the paper web in connection with the cutting of the paper web by means of a cutting device. The adhesive or the like is applied on the surface of the reel that is being formed by means of a member applying the adhesive.

A method and apparatus for reeling or winding of a web in which one or more factors affecting the web in the reeling or winding process are controlled by means of measurement data in order to affect the quality of the reel or roll formed in the reeling or winding process. The is measurement data used is the web tension profile of the web brought into the reeling. The web tension profile is measured by means of a measuring device from which the web tension profile data is transmitted to a data processing unit which adjusts the factors affecting the web during reeling or winding.

Method and apparatus for measuring web tension profile to control the reeling of a web

The invention relates to a method and apparatus in a reeling process of a paper web. A paper web (PR) is continuously reeled around a reeling core ( ) via a roll assembly (T). A first press device arrangement ( ) is arranged to move with respect to the frame ( ) of the reel-up and by means of the first press device arrangement ( ) a first nip contact (N ) is maintained to the paper web (PR) that is being formed on the reeling core, and the first press device arrangement ( ) is transferred with respect to the frame ( ) of the reel-up into a nip contact (N ) with a second press device arrangement ( ). According to the invention, the section of the roll assembly (T) before the first press device arrangement ( ) and the first press arrangement ( ) are formed as separate units. The paper web (PR) is guided immediately into nip contact (N ) in the first press device arrangement ( ) via the roll assembly (T) stationary with respect to the frame ( ) of the reel-up. Furthermore, the paper reel ( ) that is being formed and the first press device assembly are transferred as a combination substantially in the travel direction of the paper web (PR) in a position controlled manner.

Method and device in the process of reeling up a paper web

In the method for controlling the structure of a reel, a continuous paper web (W) is reeled around a reel spool ( ) to form a reel (R), and one or more variables are measured from the web (W). When a particular, predetermined change occurs in the variable, the lateral oscillation of the web is changed, by means of which the web is guided to different locations in the reel (R) in the axial direction of the reel spool ( ). The change can be implemented by starting the oscillation or by changing the oscillation in progress.
