Provided is an electronic pen that includes a body portion housing of an electronic pen body portion has housed therein a refill body and a circuit board having a side switch formed by a push button switch mounted thereon, and has a pen-point opening portion through which a pen point of the refill body protrudes. A pressing member is provided in a side opening portion of the body portion housing such that the pressing member is disposed on the side switch in such a manner as to be prevented by an engagement portion from protruding outwardly from a side surface of the body portion housing. The side switch of the circuit board is operated through the pressing member of the electronic pen body portion when an operation unit of the outer housing having the electronic pen body portion installed therein is pressed.

An electronic pen includes a tubular casing, a core body having an end that protrudes from opening in the casing, a strain generating body that receives a force applied to the core body, a plurality of strain sensitive elements arranged on a planar portion of the strain generating body, a control circuit that performs control based on a signal sensed using the plurality of strain sensitive elements, and an electrical conductor that extends in the axial direction of the casing and is electrically connected to a plurality of terminals of the plurality of strain sensitive elements. The plurality of strain sensitive elements is electrically connected to the control circuit via the electrical conductor.

Electronic pen

A position pointer used to input position pointing operations on a capacitive position detector includes a rod-shaped housing, a sleeve, a cap, a cloth, a support, and a first fastener. The sleeve is connected to a tip portion of the housing. The cap is made of an elastic material and protrudes from the tip portion of the sleeve. The cloth covers the cap. The support is provided inside the housing and supports the cap. The first fastener fastens the cloth to the support. At least one of the cap and the cloth is conductive.
